23.01.2022 DID YOU KNOW: That by adding lemon rinds to a microwave-safe bowl filled halfway with water. Is an excellent, minimal effort way of cleaning your microwave? Cook on high for 5 minutes, allowing the water to boil and the steam to condense on the walls and tops of the oven. Carefully remove the hot bowl and wipe away the mess with a towel. It really is that easy! Another option can be to replace the lemon rind with dish washing liquid, Eco Friendly of course :)

22.01.2022 An Eco Friendly way of CLEANING YOUR WINDOWS: We all hate cleaning windows (apart from us). I expect you have tried many commercial sprays and maybe even have some of your own recipes. Here is one we use, which has proven to be very successful. And the best thing about it is, you most probably have all the ingredients in your cupboards. Ingredients:... 1/4 -1/2 teaspoon eco-friendly liquid detergent 3 tablespoons vinegar 2 cups water Spray bottle Directions: Place ingredients into a spray bottle, shake it up a bit and use as you would a commercial product. Try it and let us know what you think :)

16.01.2022 When life gives you lemons, make lemonade. But what to do with all those lemon peels? Dont toss them; put them to work. Lemon juice is about 5 to 6 percent citric acid and has a pH level of between 2 and 3. This low pH acidity makes lemon juice a great ally in breaking down rust and mineral stains, but gentle enough to not dull finishes. There is generally sufficient juice left in used lemon halves to tackle small tasks, and it all comes with its own applicator (the rind it...self). Plus, the oil in the peel is perfect for clever culinary applications, and not bad in the beauty department either. Heres what you can do: Around the House 1. Clean greasy messes Greasy pans? Splattered stove tops? Messy counters? If your kitchen has been the victim of some sloppy sauteing, try using lemon halves before bringing out possibly toxic chemical cleaners. Sprinkle some salt (for abrasion) on a juiced lemon half and rub on the greasy areas, wipe up with a towel. (Be careful using lemon on marble counter tops, or any other surface which may be sensitive to acid).

15.01.2022 DID YOU KNOW: That you can remove odor from carpets and floors, by liberally sprinkling baking soda on the affected area. Let set overnight, or as long as possible (the longer it sets the better it works). Sweep up the larger amounts of baking soda, and vacuum up the rest. (Note that your vacuum cleaner bag will get full and heavy.) NOTE: I would test on a small, unnoticeable area of your carpet first.

15.01.2022 DID YOU KNOW: Your homemade salad dressing can double as an economic and Earth-friendly cleaning supply. Olive oil and vinegar or lemon juice make a great wood polish. Almost fact: Substitute the vinegar or lemon juice for baking soda. Note: Due to the nature of wood, I would recommend testing on a non visible area, prior to using.

06.01.2022 I need your help! I have had my business cards designed, and I am struggling to decide on which colour to have on the reverse. Which do you think, Green or White?

03.01.2022 CLEANING GROUT is one of the most difficult things to master! Here are some tips! INGREDIENTS baking soda, vinegar EQUIPMENT: A grout brush (or old toothbrush)... 1. Grab an old toothbrush or a small grout cleaning brush. Wed recommend the special purpose tool because grout brushes have sturdier bristles and are a little bigger, but an old toothbrush will totally work in a pinch. 2. Start simple. Spray the affected area with a 50-50 mixture of vinegar and water, and then scrub with the brush. *Heres a tip: forget straight lines, and scrub in circles to remove more grossness from the grout. 3. If thats not doing the trick, reach for the baking soda. Make a paste by mixing baking soda with water, then spread the mixture along the grout. 4. Using the brush, scrub the baking soda mixture into the grout, again in circular motions. Rinse well and repeat if necessary. 5. If thats not enough, turn to a non-toxic oxygen bleachwhich is normally combo of borax or sodium percarbonate. Just like baking soda, make a thick paste to scrub into the grout. 6. Leave the paste on the grout for about 15 minutes, and then scrub it off and rinse well. That should do it! If you have any more eco-friendly cleaning tips, we would love to hear about them :)
