10.01.2022 Sailing down the QLD coast by the light of the full moon! Should be in Sydney in about 10-12 days if we keep sailing through the night! We have experienced really spectacular warm evenings met with blood red sunrises and sunsets thanks to the devastating fires on the mainland. Perfect sailing conditions for my amazing crew of Tony Rebuck, Peter Carter and Arieh Ende. ... The fair wind has been coming consistently from the north, we have had calm seas, sunny skies and sometimes a good push by the current. We have seen turtles, dolphins, seabirds and leaping tuna and mackerel on the way. My priority is to get some fresh fish for dinner soon. Come and join me for an Eco Sailing Cruise this summer.

04.01.2022 Kick n Back is finally on the way south to Sydney. 15 miles sailed since 3am and 710 miles to go. I have three amazing men helping me on this journey. And am starting to feel that everything is coming together as I had dreamed.

I have been patient and now the rewards are slowly being delivered: I landed this great Spanish Mackerel at 4:45am while sailing to Lady Musgrave Isl - the birthplace of my love for the Great Barrier Reef thirty yrs ago. Mooring in the lagoon and snorkelling with 3 Blacktip Reef sharks. ... Watching the moon rise over the ocean with my father by my side while on watch in the middle of the night. Gaining invaluable skills and confidence from Peter, my mentor for the last 40 years. Gaining respect for the power of the ocean and the beauty of this country with my old friend Arieh. Thanks.
