25.01.2022 Community Garden . We have been very busy bees over the weekend, working with our amazing neighbours, to build our community garden (a dream I have had for so long) . We are all so excited to grow and harvest our own fresh produce, plastic free.... . Community gardens are becoming more popular and are great way to connect with your neighbours/ community, save money and learn a few new gardening skills. . Be sure to seek permission from the appropriate people before building one within your community. . A selection of pictures of our community garden. 24.01.2022 Nothing trendy, just eco friendly . Ok guys... after a month of sewing face masks like a crazy women, I have my reusable face wipes ready for the website. . Tomorrow night I will be launching these beauties... . The idea came from the many small scraps of fabric I always had left over from the beeswax wraps. . There was no way I could let gorgeous cotton fabric go to waste. So I started whipping up face wipes for my neighbours to test and they loved them. . So they are nothing trendy, just an eco friendly alternative to one use face wipes that always come in a plastic bag. . 23.01.2022 Christmas Baking . Does anyone else roll up there sleeves for Christmas and bake their little heart out? . Well I do Every year I bake all different treats and package them in reusable glass jars or tins, to give as gifts to the grandparents.... . It’s a great way to give ‘plastic free’ and the kids love helping. . 16.01.2022 .H O M E M A D E. . One way our family attempts to reduce our plastic consumption is buy making homemade snacks. . I made these delicious muesli bars from scratch and everyone loved them. Better yet, we could choose what we put in them... . I have designed two different types of reusable face wipes, made from both 100% cotton towelling and 100% bamboo towelling fabrics. . I personally find the cotton towelling wipes make removing makeup easier, due to their soft, yet durable texture. . 06.01.2022 I can smell summer . According to the weather woman, this weekend is going to be our first taste of warm, summer like weather in NSW . Watermelons, pineapples and rockmelons are a must in our household during summer.... . To reduce plastic waste I always try and buy whole melons. . I cut it in half. I cut one half into smaller pieces for the kids to eat and wrap the other in a beeswax wrap until we are ready to eat it. .
