24.01.2022 My new venture moss terrariums

22.01.2022 Bladder Wort - Utricularia

19.01.2022 Perfect amount of lily cover for our hot weather. This is how we like to see our lilies, growing over each other. They help by cutting down the light in the pond, limiting the growth of photosynthetic algae. They keep water cool and take up excess nutrients.

17.01.2022 My large fish holding pond. This is running a 10 000l /h circulation pump and 5000l/h feature pump for fish feature. Beautiful clear water because of the plants and water flow.

15.01.2022 Watch for Aphids on lily leaves. Spray off with hose of rub off.

14.01.2022 Love new Macro lens 90mm- lilly

13.01.2022 Freshwater oligochaet worms "Sludge Worms" live in the soft rich iorganic matter sediment. These worms are in my frog pond in an inch of water. They can occur in totally degraded habitats - sewage outlets, degraded aquatic environments. They can be an aquatic bio indicator for poor water health. They can also occur in pristine habitats like mine.

11.01.2022 Nature settling in to one of our large ponds

10.01.2022 Perfect water movement. The Oase skimmer is in the background. The skimmer is being run with Oase 20 000l/h pump. The pond also has 16 000l/h Laguana pump.

07.01.2022 I am a distributer for "The Water Cleanser" Block in South Australia. Any one with a pond, swim pond, dam, water feature, pool or septic tank will benefit greatly by installing this product. The block works by promoting the growth of beneficial bacteria, helping settle organic waste, reducing algae blooms and clearing the water. 04.01.2022 An aquatic carnivorous Bladderwort (Utricularia sp.). I have many of these fantastic plants coming up every where in my propagation ponds. They are rootless carnivorous plants which form small suction traps which are hollow discoid bladders. Under the microscope I often see aquatic worms trapped in the floating bladder.

04.01.2022 Even on holidays always near the water

03.01.2022 A quick visit to clean the pump and fill the pond. Pond going beautifully after 9 years. Thank you Wendy, my amazing friend and client, for allowing us to keep visiting your magnificent oasis.
