The Palaszczuk Labor Government significantly reduced funding in February 2019 which led to the closure of the Crime Stoppers call centre AND last year it was revealed that 130,000 crime reports and tip-offs to PoliceLink were abandoned by callers who hung up when their calls went unanswered? 18.01.2022 This week I attended the Somerset Hills State School P&C meeting to learn that they are up for repair and security bills of tens of thousands of dollars after suffering from vandalism to their Somerset Hills Seals Swimming Club pool including some fences. The school community should not have copped these unnecessary costs and the monies could have been better spent for the students, parents and teachers.
