25.01.2022 Another one from South Oz. This image is a Four photo focal stack so I could maintain the texture on the water and create an over all sharper image from front to back four images at F9 blended together instead of one at f22. I would have been able to get the image close to as sharp at f22 but to expose the image properly, I would have had to slow the shutter down and i would have lost those beautiful golden ripples. 24.01.2022 Noooosa ! Such an amazing place

23.01.2022 A re-edit of a shot from aggges ago overlooking the glasshouse from my little fig tree honey hole I call this one velvia sky

22.01.2022 This is one I shot in Witta, such a beautiful place does anyone know what sort of tree this is ?

22.01.2022 I shot this on the coast this arvo ! I have never really focused on taking lineup shots for some reason, maybe because a decent swell is rare as rocking horse shit on the sunshine coast. The conditions this arvo were as good as it gets.

19.01.2022 Another one from Tasmania. Kelp ! At a place called Friendly beaches, between the Freycinet peninsula and the Bay of fires.

18.01.2022 It’s sooo good to be back on the coast and being able to get back to what I love going to places like this. Kondalilla falls Australia.com Discover Queensland Sunshine Coast

16.01.2022 click for full photo ! (new edit) Another shot from the Bay Of Fires in Tasmania ! such incredible colours, the reds the blues the greens ! that little boat with the cray pot on the back, that little patch of sand leading out through the cove ! works for me. I call this one Painted Cove.

16.01.2022 Quick little edit of one from Maria Island in Tasmania. Pretty good example of what the wind in Tasmania is capable of ! It’s pretty incredible seeing the windswept landscape in some places ! we don’t really have anything like that on the coast so it’s cool to see. Anyway you can see that I have framed that cool little shack with that tree, and the three next to it kind of frames the tree framing the house haha who knows think it works well

15.01.2022 Some pretty amazing high level cloud around ! Get those trigger fingers ready

15.01.2022 Mount Ninderry Majesty. Pretty happy with this one ! what you cant see in this picture is the half dozen horses chewing my tripod legs haha, i was expecting them to be quite skittish but they were so curious and inquisitive.

15.01.2022 Incredible sunrise for my last day in the Pilbara the trusty old iPhone still goes alright.

15.01.2022 A special scene more reminiscent of further out west than in the eastern foothills of the beautiful Sunshine Coast hinterland. I call this one west of Woombye.

14.01.2022 'The resilient tree' (click for full photo) Every holiday destination worth its salt has a tree with enough character for you to bother taking a photo of it ! in the Bay of fires in tasmania this is it. Looking for a different angle of this heavily photographed tree was a bit it of a challenge. I think i found a nice composition here, with plenty happening from top to bottom through the scene as well as a nice profile of the tree. Australia.com

13.01.2022 click for full image ! I have been going back and forth with different names for this image which I think is one the most powerful I have captured. As with most things that really capture your imagination or turn your head, they need to be something from a different perspective. I was on Maria island on the east coast of Tasmania with my girl. She was looking for wombats and i was on a mission to shoot the famous painted cliffs of the island. When I got their I realised I ha...d botched it and the tide was to high to get the shot I was after, not to mention it was midday so not ideal for photos anyway. Instead of walking away I decided to turn my back on the norm and try and get arty with the angles and contours of this cliff. This image was shot lying flat on my back handheld looking up the overhanging cliffs to capture something i am pretty happy with, if you can’t tell haha. Anyway I call this image Time

13.01.2022 Cosy Corner, Bay Of Fires, Tasmania

13.01.2022 I have been on the hunt for an image with the beautiful iridescent flowers of the Pigface succulent that we are lucky enough to have scattered through the coastal region of the sunshine coast. its taken me yearssss to find something that showcases the Pigface in full bloom in a beautiful photo, so you can imagine how pumped i was to find this patch hanging off the cliff at Double Island point not to mention the tide had dropped out enough for it to stand up on the outside bank and give me the icing on my cake ! every surfers dream ! a perfect A-frame

13.01.2022 Rolled the dice on a set of waterfalls in the Mapleton NP last week and it paid off big. This waterfall was a sight to behold, totally worth the four hour round trip. Thanks to my assistant Brett McIntosh for carrying my camera gear.

12.01.2022 I was tossing up either stegosaurus rock or Double island dreaming for the name of this one I shot on Wednesday

10.01.2022 I call this one capillaries a bit of photo-art for something different.

09.01.2022 Who recognizes this tree ? its a beach birds eye apparently. It looks pretty ancient ! any budding botanists out there have any idea down old it would be ? I spotted this scene as i was walking back to my car after a Pandanus shot i had in mind for sunrise didn't work out like i had envisioned. I am very happy it didn't or i may never have seen this scene unfold. The light landing on the gnarled limbs of this beach birds eye tree was pretty special coupled with the sandy little track winding down to the beach helps lead you into the scene. that combo makes this one of my new favorites for sure !

09.01.2022 There are some incredible colours up in the hinterland at the moment ! I call this one Montville Daydream

08.01.2022 Just got back from Tasmania with my lovely where I got a chance to shoot some locations I have been dreaming about for years ! as well as eating my own bodyweight in food and wine daily. If you have not been down for a look, do yourself a favour and move it to the front of your list, it’s a really special place. This is my take on Horseshoe falls in the Mt Field national park. It would have to be the most luscious scene I have ever encountered.

08.01.2022 Somewhere in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland lives this beast !!!! Pretty stoked with this find, now I just have to figure out how to get down to it without dying

06.01.2022 In what turned out to be a bit of a stressful road trip in SA, not all was lost. I still got to see some amazing parts of the state, and witness some incredible performances by Mother Nature this was last night in Whyalla

06.01.2022 One from the Natural Bridge national park. Under an hour and a half drive/walk from the gold coast beaches and you can be standing in that cave looking at this view ! dont go

05.01.2022 Sunset is about to go bonkers

04.01.2022 The Narrows ! You have got to love the Sunshine Coast hinterland

03.01.2022 More tassie pork for your fork. Pretty happy with this one, i haven’t seen many blue sky shots of Cradle Mountain so I’m pretty happy with this one. I used a 10 stop ND filter to turn the lake into a matt so I could stitch this shot and it worked perfectly with these rocks in the foreground if it was glassy it would have been to busy with the rocks I think.

02.01.2022 A little throw back to Easter Sunday three years ago ! to lighten things up. Still the most intense sunrise i have ever seen ! technically a hard shot to pull off, stitching panoramas around moving water is not easy unless its somewhere with a constant rate of flow like a waterfall but i got it in the end with a bit of photoshop magic ! one of my favorites for sure !

01.01.2022 I have a bit of a soft spot for verticals. I feel they are more artistic, or maybe just easier to frame up a composition more artistically. Possibly because the elongated portrait perspective is foreign to how we normally view the world, therefore more interesting, who knows. This one "Eternal Lovers" is from point Arkwright, Only once in a blue moon will there be enough sand buildup in the pocket for these two rocks to be recognizable like this.
