25.01.2022 Starting to look like a betrayal of trust.

24.01.2022 I spoke in Parliament on Tuesday about the Whyalla Steelworks and Labor's proposal to build a 250MW electrolyser, a 200MW power station and a storage facility. I also mentioned the H2U proposal for Whyalla and the plan to produce green hydrogen, and by going one step further, green ammonia.

23.01.2022 Well said. Good to see so many people doing the right thing.

21.01.2022 Forgive me for sharing the song but otherwise it’s a cool clip! A shout out for all of our frontline workers that are working today. Thanks Tiff N Kip for sharing even though you will never be forgiven for spreading a Mariah Carey song!

21.01.2022 What more can be said? Happy New Year.

19.01.2022 Get a feed and support the RFDS

19.01.2022 It was an incredibly powerful speech given by Paul at the Ambo and Firey rally last Thursday. Heartfelt, moving and deeply disturbing. We need change and we need it now for all the Pauls and all the people that need our ambulance service.

18.01.2022 Approximately 75 people turned out to show their support for the Beach Cafe. I spoke at the gathering along with Senator Rex Patrick and Nick. I spoke with Mayor Clare McLaughlin yesterday and I am confident that a workable compromise that will enable the cafe to continue operating can be achieved.

15.01.2022 Proud to take part with our ambos and firies protesting about staff and resource shortages. I have written to the minister on behalf of residents experiencing long delays for ambulances. Our ambos and firies do a great job it’s time they got the support they deserve.

15.01.2022 Just spent a few days in Coober Pedy catching up with people and discussing a wide variety of issues. Went with Bill Korbetis out to his claim. Bill has been an opal miner and cutter for 50 years. Coober Pedy has a number of challenging issues that will need tangible state government support to resolve.

14.01.2022 Hope there is a good turnout throughout the electorate tomorrow. Parliament is sitting so can’t attend in my electorate.

13.01.2022 I spoke in Parliament on Tuesday about Coober Pedy and especially the water situation. I once again called upon the State Government to release the SA Water report on Coober Pedy, which was completed months ago. In order to address the challenges facing Coober Pedy, State Government assistance will be needed. The Coober Pedy community - as fellow South Australians - deserve our support.

13.01.2022 Might as well use Leith O’Malley’s Christmas cuttlefish to wish everyone near and far a merry Christmas and a better new year.

10.01.2022 Hear what Peter had to say on medi-hotels and casualised labour. He is saying the risk is too great and we should look at what the other options are.

07.01.2022 Well done to all involved.

06.01.2022 Detail below on the changing lockdown situation.

06.01.2022 On the 9th March Peter Malinauskas and I wrote to the Prime Minister to stress the importance of the Whyalla Steelwoks for the community of Whyalla, the state and the nation. We pointed out that as the only integrated steelworks in the nation that produces structural steel and rail it is an essential part of our sovereign manufacturing capacity. Government at a state and federal level need to ensure the future of the steelworks. On the 12th March Peter visited Whyalla and met... with workers, unions, management, contractors, the Chamber of Commerce and the Council. We will continue to do all in our power to support Whyalla and apply pressure when needed to secure Whyalla’s future. We have everything in place to produce steel for generations to come. By working together we will secure our future.

05.01.2022 Whyalla is South Australia’s Monkey Mia. Worth a trip to see our regular visiting dolphin pods and check out the jetty at the same time. Hire a kayak and get out on the water.

05.01.2022 Whyalla kayaking, why go to Monkey Mia?

01.01.2022 Parliament is sitting so for country members we miss out on attending events. Congratulation to Kevin Higgins and the Whyalla RSL for the work they do and all of the other RSL’s in the electorate - Cowell, Kimba, Hawker, Quorn, Roxby Downs, Andamooka, Coober Pedy, Woomera and all of the other communities that acknowledge Remembrance Day and the tragic loss of life.
