25.01.2022 April Camp sign ups are OPEN for volunteers - https://mailchi.mp/68ab6b8ab5ce/april-camp-2020

24.01.2022 At ERCNSW, were so grateful for our volunteers So much so that were happy to pose awkwardly in photos and permanent marker our hands as part of #nvw2020 and #waveforvolunteers This years theme of Changing Communities, Changing Lives chosen by @volunteeringaustralia fits perfectly with the incredible contributions of our volunteers #alleddieadventures #ercnsw #volunteeringaustralia #volunteering #pose #thecameralovesus #sweatypalms

24.01.2022 Today is R U Ok? Day, an annual reminder of the importance of reaching out and having conversations. This year @ruokday has developed resources to remind us that those conversations are more than just asking the question its listening and following up Swipe through for other organisations doing amazing work, and if you can, make some time today to read through their resources too Finally, were very aware of the many challenges and setbacks people have experienced this year, so sending out a lot of love and well wishes to all in our community #ercnsw #alleddieadventures #ruokday #mentalhealthawareness #community

22.01.2022 Stevie Rae has had a profound impact on #ercnsw since way back in 2007 Her insight, empathy and desire to grow and keep learning has been an example for so many of our volunteers. A dedicated worker behind the scenes, Stevie Rae recently helped us revamp and formalise our TL and Facilitator training!!! Plus, she turned 30 last week and has killed it again with photo choice #alleddieadventures #testimonial #volunteering #volunteerappreciation #community #felizcumpleaños

21.01.2022 WHAT A TEAM! This is our January Mega Camp these incredible humans conquered a different campsite, an extra large group of kids, extremely limited spaces to work with as well as tricky weather and unprecedented air quality concerns, yet STILL they produced an incredible program for some very special children. This kind of magic is the reason why Eddie Ricers are always so proud to say I volunteer with Edmund Rice Camps!

11.01.2022 Thanks for having me ERC NSW It is with a heavy heart that I say goodbye to my role as Programs Officer at Eddie Rice Camps NSW . However, as all campers know - its not goodbye, its see you soon! It has been such an incredible three and a half years that Ive been lucky to spend with this organisation - Ive made life long friends, met and developed strong bonds with some wonderful children and of course Ive had such fantastic opportunities to run and create unique ...programs for Camps. As many of you know though, my heart belongs in WA & with my beautiful family (especially my adorable niece). I am looking forward to turning the page and starting a new chapter in my life. Thank you to everyone who has been part of my journey with ERC NSW, thank you for your support, friendship and consistent encouragement. I can say with utmost certainty that you are in GOOD HANDS with our new EO, Bonnie. The year(s) ahead is SO exciting and I cant wait to see a new Programs Officer take the reigns and absolutely run with it, just like I did. I finish up in three weeks and look forward to seeing many of you and saying a final farewell at our Family Day on the 1st of March. Much love & appreciation, Emily Banks

07.01.2022 Yesterday marked the beginning of National Child Protection Week, and today we're taking the opportunity to reaffirm our safeguarding commitment by making this pledge: Edmund Rice Camps NSW is committed to safeguarding children and young people. This Child Protection Week we will be using social media and an internal event to deepen our staff and volunteers' awareness of safeguarding and exploring their role in it.

07.01.2022 Edmund Rice Camps NSW acknowledges the Gadigal People of the Eora Nation as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which our office stands. We also recognise that our programs and retreats run on Dharug, Yuin, Kuring-gai, Darkinjung, Gundungurra and Dharawal Country. The land we meet on was, and always will be Aboriginal land. We recognise that this land has always been a place of community, care, friendship and learning, and our organisation is inspired and nurtured by the wisdoms, resilience and capacity of First Nations people in this land. We pay respects to Elders past, present and emerging, and acknowledge the central role Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people continue to play within our Edmund Rice Camps community. #alwayswasalwayswillbe

06.01.2022 Great news for your weekend one of our volunteers has created a social enterprise centred around sustainable fashion, and were lucky enough to be receiving a percentage of profits this August !!! Dans idea comes out of a recognition of the extreme amounts of pollution and waste that come from the global clothing and textile industry. Were excited to partner with @theragingrecyclers for tomorrows first drop of clothing, so make sure to check it out Every little bit helps, so if youve got an idea or want to get in touch, please do!
