11.01.2022 WHERE IN THE WORLD ARE YOU EDDY? It has been nearly 2 years since Eddy just vanished into thin air Melbourne Cup Weekend November 3, 2018 Seaford Victoria I am... not Eddy's owner as most of Eddy's followers know. I am, however, passionate & love animals which is why when asked by Dee (foster carer Wodonga Dog Rescue) to continue the search for Eddy, I didn't think twice. Eddy is not my dog but I could only imagine how heartbreaking it would be if I lost either one of my own rescue dogs. It didn't take long before Eddy became as important to me as he were my own. I was lucky enough to meet up with Tess. Equally passionate to get Eddy back to Dee. It has been such a rollercoaster ride for us. We have walked the wetlands & local Seaford streets. We have laughed, we have cried & we've met a lot of wonderful people who we know are with us & still keeping watch for Eddy's whereabouts. But most of all we have NOT given up hope. EDDY IS OUT THERE. We took over looking for Eddy late November 2018, a few weeks into Eddy's disappearance. The person who adopted Eddy had given up the search. (No judgement here please). So we started off a little behind the 8 ball in Eddy's search with conflicting accounts about Eddy's disappearance. 1 Why Eddy suddenly took off from his adoptive home in Northcote St. Seaford. 2 Where Eddy ran to after "crashing through the fence" according to the initial brief. Eddy was last seen at the end of Armstrongs Road (wetlands end). This was stated on the first black & white posters that were put up around the area. In a later conversation with adopter (via messenger)I was told Eddy was seen running up Armstrongs Road & he either ran into Airlie Grove or Halifax St. But adopter could not confirm that because "it was getting dark". There were a few inconsistencies in the first account of Eddy's disappearance that night. People were first under the impression that Eddy had run into the wetlands and people spent a lot of time searching there. Valuable time was lost searching the wetlands when Eddy could have been hiding in any one of the houses in the immediate area. It's a pity we all didn't have that information earlier on so the search area could be widened to include Armstrongs/Airlie & Halifax. Also there was a sighting of a female (hair in a bun) walking a Red Heeler along Park & Hallifax Street Seaford. The person who saw her tried to catch up to her to just check the dog out but the female walking the dog started zigzagging across the road, running and then disappeared, turning left into Armstrong’s Rd. If you are that person and you are reading this & the dog is not Eddy, please call me, Tricia on 0404 268 018. Another sighting we had was of a female walking a Red Heeler and a small white dog along Armstrongs Road probably around the middle of last year (2019). She had distinctive PINK hair (not sure if she's the same female that was seen in Hallifax Street). If anyone is aware of either of these two females could you please contact me, Tricia on 0404 268 018. There is a strong possibility that Eddy has been picked up by someone who is holding onto him. So where are we now? We have not, as yet, located Eddy. Covid 19 restrictions have put the brakes on us as far as not being able to travel further than 5km. The police are still involved with Eddy's search & we thank them for their continued assistance. Once again I would like to thank all the people that have been following Eddy's page, all the people who have searched and have sent photos & given us possible leads and kept us going you are amazing. Thank You. WE WILL NEVER GIVE UP THERE'S STILL $1000 REWARD BEING OFFERED FOR INFORMATION FOR EDDY'S SAFE RETURN OR INFORMATION LEADING TO HIS SAFE RETURN .

06.01.2022 Hi everyone! A little while ago, I shared my petition asking for rescue groups to be given the legal right to save animals in Victorian pounds and shelters. Thi...s was after the RSPCA euthanised my foster greyhound Dash for treatable anxiety issues and lied to us about it. We are also demanding mandatory euthanasia reporting in order to end convenience killing. Since sharing Dash's story, I have been inundated with horror stories and it seems that this is all too common an occurrence. The support for this petition has been overwhelming - it currently has almost 17k signatures and is the largest ever to be tabled in Victorian Parliament! The tabling date had to be delayed due to COVID-19 but is now set for 17th August. Andy Meddick of the Animal Justice Party has sponsored it. I would love to get to 20k signatures in the next 5 weeks - if you haven't already, please consider signing and sharing (Victorian residents only): https://www.parliament.vic.gov.au//view-e-p/details/12/192 Here's a pic of our beautiful snoot Dash. Thanks for your support!

05.01.2022 WARNING DISTRESSING POST Late yesterday afternoon, a woman was walking at the top weir track in Emerald and found a blue cattle dog beaten to death and a r...ed cattle dog barely alive next to him. She was also beaten senseless and left with a snapped neck, crushed skull, broken back, fractured legs and the list just goes on. She was taken to the vet but Her injury list was so extensive that she had to be put down for her own suffering. I'm glad she wasn't alone when she died. Her blue friend wasn't so lucky. He died in a cold bush in agony and with out anyone with him. YOU HAVE OPTIONS. You can surrender dogs to rescues or even the pound. You don't need to beat them to death. If you're going through a tough time, please call beyond blue and walk away. Don't take it out on defenseless animals like a coward. The photos of the male are too graphic to share Justice for Red and Blue

03.01.2022 As the wild weather and long cold nights approach, our role in supporting people and pets facing homelessness becomes increasingly important. Our annual Pet Foo...d Drive gives people and their companion animals the opportunity to stay together despite difficult circumstances. And with an unprecedented number of people facing unemployment and housing instability, our essential support is in greater demand than ever before. This year, due to COVID-19, we will be running things a bit differently. In partnership with our friends at SavourLife, we will be running a Virtual Pet Food Drive throughout the month of June. For every 2.5kg bag of their quality grain-free food purchased, Savourlife will donate three bags to POTH. That's three times the impact! Our goal is to collect 30,000 meals of pet food so we have a big task ahead of us and we will need your help to make it happen. For more information on how you can get involved with our Pet Food Drive this June, visit: www.petsofthehomeless.org.au/petfooddrive. #PetFoodDrive #NoEmptyBowls #Junerosity

03.01.2022 ‘HE IS MISERABLE’: DECLARED DOG BEHIND BARS FOR THREE YEARS A family fighting to save their cattle dog from death row for three years have likened his t...reatment to ‘solitary confinement.’ Kirstin Payne, Gold Coast Bulletin October 17, 2020 A FAMILY fighting to save their pet cattle dog from death row say they have been allowed to visit him only twice in his three years of solitary. Tamborine Village resident Paul Cutbush says he has spent $15,000 on the legal fees to save his daughter’s dog Bandit since it was seized as a dangerous dog in 2017. Mr Cutbush says the dog has been kept in the dark without exercise. Mr Cutbush said he sat outside the pound to hear Bandit bark and alleged the exercise yards were unused. Since he was taken from us he has only had 10 minutes exercise when we were allowed to visit him, Mr Cutbush said. He doesn’t understand why he is behind bars. M Cutbush said when his wife and daughter were permitted to see Bandit on their single visit last year, they were not allowed to pat him. We are concerned about his eyes because he has been in the dark the whole time,’’ he said. He has spent so long in a cell now it can’t be good. It is torture. We can’t even give him any toys or blankets. If this is the end of his life, he is miserable. Bandit is a purebred pampered fed cattle dog who effectively has spent more time in solitary confinement than serious human criminals in our prisons. https://www.goldcoastbulletin.com.au/.../b883977d93c4dfa5... 02.01.2022 IMPORTANT UPDATE In the last week we have received news of a possible sighting of Eddy, the person who has reported this, has and wants to remain anonymous.... It has been said that Eddy was picked up by a couple ( maybe an older couple or appeared to be older ) not too long after he escaped from Northcote St Seaford (3rd November 18) We believe that the couple involved could possibly have a caravan/motorhome or the like and live in the Seaford area. Keeping in mind Eddy’s personality there would of been an immediate reluctance to jump into any vehicle, it would probably have taken these people a few days maybe a little longer to eventually gain his trust. Did anyone see anything unusual in a neighbours garden in the days after Eddy disappeared ? TO ALL OF OUR EDDY FOLLOWERS Perhaps we could start a conversation in the neighbourhood, we know there are people that do not use social media and may be unaware of Eddy’s story, and it’s possible that they might of seen or heard something. As always any help would be truly appreciated Even if you are not in the Seaford area could you please SHARE SHARE SHARE Thank you If anyone has any further information we would love to hear from you, either through Eddy’s Facebook page ( Help us find Eddy ) or email [email protected]. au or call Tricia 0404 268 018 ANONYMITY IS GUARANTEED
