24.01.2022 Slowly it begins. Discussions about when, and under what conditions, our playtime and gardening community can meet together again. Watch this space for updates. As I think of you all, both young and old, I can see a little bit of each of you in this song.

24.01.2022 Thanks Michael for the helpful tips on getting best results from beans to cup. A couple of snaps here of people making and enjoying coffees last Sunday afternoon

24.01.2022 If you haven't made it on a Tuesday yet, why not come this week. Check out the veggie and herb gardens, relax with a hot drink, and bring the little ones to play in a safe space. Babies welcome too. If you are keen, maybe attempt to make friendly frog foam fridge magnets

21.01.2022 I thought this might be of interest to some of our group.

21.01.2022 Happy to report that our tadpoles have all grown to become frogs. They disappeared one by one. I finally caught the last one escaping into the wild

21.01.2022 1st day of Spring Tuesday at playtime. Let's plant some flower seeds and create some rock flowers.

20.01.2022 Considering the NSW Health Dep.t latest advice re. viruses, the Eden Playtime team have been discussing the risks in continue to meet. For now we will meet but, to reduce the risk of spreading germs, we ask that if child or adult are unwell, runny nose etc, please do not come on Tuesday. We also will be making changes to snack time.

20.01.2022 We will attempt to bake tomorrow....or not; depending on average age and the level of enthusiasm. Here is the ingredients. Text or msg me if there is any allergy issues. There will be some pre baked cookies. Anyone who comes to garden is welcome to share in the eating with us. RASPBERRY BANANA COOKIES Soft raspberry, banana oat cookies. A healthy kids' snack and great for baby-led weaning.... INGREDIENTS 40g (1/4 cup) Sultanas / Raisins 2 Ripe bananas 95g 1 cup Oats 1/4 tsp Cinnamon 100g 1 cup Frozen raspberries

19.01.2022 What's in the box this week? Come and find out on Tuesday 10am - 12.

18.01.2022 As well as discovering WHATS IN THE BOX, we will also be looking at what's inside other things. And to those who have enquired about coming, just a reminder to bring your own water bottle, and any special snacks apart from what we provide. Don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions about our covid safe plan and conditions of entry which can be found on this page.

18.01.2022 Thanks to all the essential workers out there.

18.01.2022 Its sad to see the empty playground and building closed sign at the church this morning. Hope our Eden community are all safe and well. I plan, in the coming days, to connect with those who have given me contact details. If you prefer I not do that, let me know via messenger, text, email. If you haven't filled out an enrollment form yet, but would like to stay in touch, please let me know via contact details on our page. 18.01.2022 Hurray! Eden Playtime & Community Gardening is returning on Tuesday 30th June 2020 from 10am-12pm. For the safety of all those attending, please view our Conditions of Entry on our webpage (linked below). https://keiraview.org/?page_id=2226

17.01.2022 If you havent been before, we are all new this year,so it will be easy to feel welcome at Playtime this Tuesday. Come prepared to get a bit messy. Various sensory play areas to experience, some messy some not. 2 of our caterpillars are still in cocoons and we found another stripey. Still hoping one will come out on Tuesday. We also have a blueberry bush to plant this week.

16.01.2022 So Ian and I will be at the Garden of 'Eden Playtime' again this afternoon. Come say hi and join us for an espresso, chai latte, or hot chocolate. An excess of herbs to harvest this week. Coming up this Tuesday we will be creating our own felt boards. We have been enjoying using felt animals to tell the Brown Bear story in recent weeks.

16.01.2022 Hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine this weekend. Here's hoping that it is still sunny on Tuesday. We have permission from the church to grow a living cubby house in the playground area. Any suggestions of what would grow quickly for our canopy would be welcomed. The young and young at heart can get inspired by building cubbies out of boxes and bits and pieces this week.

15.01.2022 We will be at the church, in the garden this afternoon from 2pm. Come and say hello and see what veggies are ready to harvest

14.01.2022 Hi all, We are at the Eden playtime garden in the Carpark till 4 this afternoon. Come and have an espresso with us and see what's ready to harvest. Or bring some veggies of your own to plant Jenny and Ian

13.01.2022 Hmm...BOM says it will be cool, wet, and windy next few days. May need more snacks to go with our coffees at Eden Garden tomorrow. This Tuesday at Eden Playtime If the theme is FOOTPRINTS, ... What do YOU think will be in the box? Wear your favourite shoes...ballet, gumboots, thongs. See more

13.01.2022 Weather should be good tomorrow for a play in the playground but may be a bit chilly. There are also several tomatoes ready to pick.

11.01.2022 We have a large increase in the number of families coming to Playtime on Tuesdays, which has been fun, if not a little chaotic. If you can let Jenny know you're coming each week, it will help us manage the morning better. Tomorrow we start to build the frame for our living cubby house; which is more of a tunnel I think. Also, we will have a container to collect food for Wesley meals program as part of our lent theme " living simply, so others can simply live" 6 of our very hungry caterpillars have made cocoons. A slight chance they may come out this week. And if anyone has 1lt empty milk bottles, can you bring them in please( for an activity in the coming weeks)

11.01.2022 We were so busy yesterday hearing, seeing, smelling, touching, tasting that there were no photos taken. But we did get photos today of our first hungry caterpillar coming out of its cocoon as a beautiful monarch butterfly. Maybe the next stripey will wait for a Tuesday to come out.

10.01.2022 It is with great sadness that I need to inform our Eden playtime and gardening community that, starting immediately and until further notice, we will no longer be meeting on Tuesdays. Keiraview Uniting Church has made the decision to follow government and church advice re. Covid 19, and put on hold all public groups and services. We are working on ways to stay connected as a group and support each other in the weeks ahead. Please, if you have any ideas on how we can do this, share them with Jenny. Watch this space

08.01.2022 We will be at the Garden Sunday 2 till 4pm. Then from 4pm our friend Michael from State of Bean will be showing anyone interested how to make an espresso coffee using Eden Playtime machine. We will provide coffee for you to make your own and a snack. Come have a go and maybe learn something new. There is also hot chocolate and chai latte. Feel free to pick some produce from the garden.

07.01.2022 Eden Playtime & Community Gardening has returned on Tuesday mornings at Keiraview UC. Updated COVID safe plan and Conditions of Entry can be found here https://keiraview.org/?page_id=2226

06.01.2022 Covid update Our Church Council met this week and we are happy to say that our conditions of entry have NOT changed. Look forward on Tuesday to seeing new faces as well as familiar ones.

06.01.2022 Tomorrow, 15 Dec, is our last week for 2020. The Christmas picnic on the lawn we have planned may be inside, depending on the weather. Do you feel part of the playtime group, connected to the gardening community, or you intended to come along but not quite made it this year? We have food and fun to share, so come and enjoy a relaxed morning at Fisher St. Playtime will be on break till Tuesday 2nd February 2021.... No official garden times but watch this space for when we will be at the Garden during the holidays and happy to open the playground while we are there .

06.01.2022 We are making water shakers this Tuesday with 1lt milk bottles. If anyone can bring a small clear bottle that would be good particularly for the babies. Your help will be needed, please, to supervise small items going into the bottles and not into mouths. The Coffee and chat group will also be meeting at the church this Tuesday.

06.01.2022 tiny stripy caterpillar

05.01.2022 Hi Playtime family. FYI there is a market day on at Keiraview uniting church today 10:00 - 2:00. Ian and I will be at the plant stall if you are passing pop in and say hello. Jenny

05.01.2022 Has anyone taken photos at Playtime that they haven't already sent me or posted on Eden Playtime and Community gardening? I'm hoping to print them tonight so we can make a photo board tomorrow. Last minute, I know Covid restrictions are easing. Finally we can reduce waste by no longer using individual sealed containers at snack time. We still have 2 people serving food with tongs but kids get to choose what they want so less food wastage too.

05.01.2022 A very nice 1st day of Spring harvesting a large cauliflower and some broccolini. Our rock flowers are hiding in the garden. How many can you see?

02.01.2022 Eden Playtime Garden The garden is obviously open for everyone 24/7 so please help yourself to herbs, veggies or possibly fruit. We won't be meeting officially on Sunday afternoons during the holiday period but will turn up occasionally to water plants and do maintenance. ... Call Ian or Jenny if you want to meet up with us at Keiraview. Our contact details are on our FB page or reply to this message. See more

01.01.2022 Good turn out for Eden Playtime gardening this Fathers day afternoon. Started a herb garden and planted a pepino tree. Pulled out or thinned out old plants and replaced with new seedlings. Coffees and Chai latte enjoyed by many.
