22.01.2022 Its been really quiet this end. Been feeling a deep need to withdraw and reserve all my creative flow, to put into my little family, while were all navigating isolation and facing our own little demons! But part of my daily practice is still to spend lots of time outside, breathing fresh air, feeling the warmth of the sun on my skin and feeling alive! A few days ago I found these skeleton leaves and pressed them in the kids flower press! I totally love them! I think Im going to arrange and frame them!

13.01.2022 New bronze batch being soaked in a vinegar bath for its final clean! House smells like a chip shop! Working with bronze is quite a labour intensive process. The metal-clay is fired in coconut shell carbon and comes out incredibly dirty and oxidised. Bronze seems a bit temperamental too in terms of perfect firing at temperature. Many losses, frequent cracks and duds. Each individual piece has been pickled, scrubbed, sanded, pickled again, before being oxidized to the beautiful turquoise green that everybody loves! The oxidisation process is another story of trial and error and tlc before the pieces are then coated with a crystalline wax to protect the metal and the colour! I love the soft gold sheen when it first comes out of the vinegar soak!

09.01.2022 Feel fortunate I was able to help out at the Eco Pop Up Shop The Eco Pop Up at ENEX today during the busiest hours of the day! I got my xmas shopping done too in the end! Its in full swing, beautiful wares flying out the door! It really is such a beautiful shop! Will be sad to see it all end on the 24th Dec!
