24.01.2022 Well Bugga me , seems the hot, dam hot bite was off Eden yesterday 2 boats working together with The Dutchman had a Crazy day on the bait ball from heaven yesterday off Eden. 15,12,8 and also tagged my biggest stripe to date, 2.81m LJFL & est 150-160kg. Bait ball lasted 4-5hrs with 19 fish between the 3 boats on it. Goes to show how long the action can last with everyone coming in slowly; the adrenaline and testosterone were still pumping....just not at 6000rpms and ploughing the paddock. Recovery day today, a bit sore and 4 outfits to refreshen. See you all out there somewhere soon :-)

23.01.2022 Pete and I entered the AGFC tuna slam comp on the weekend , weather held out ,was well run and the comp is slowly building , great bunch of people running , this was the 4th tuna i lost for the month , i got 2 on the sun and the half fish out weighted the full fish by 400 grams , i came 5th overall

22.01.2022 Well Nevahome strapped frizzer into the seat and ventured out thurs , caught some slimies and went via the Fad ( my idea 1300km away ) We bugga me the Dollies were there, Quite a few little ones , But if you could get your bait to swim away from your boat Nd down quick enough you had a chance, After a hr the score was Geoff 3 frizz 0 , After loosing most of the livies Geoff thought better head out before pete throws them all away. Nothing out there , At one stage they thought better get Gloria to tow trailor to Bermi , with only a few hours left Geoff thought he better help his brother out , It was Geoff's turn to have the bait swim off his hook and hide under the boat , But guess What Pete did boat a nice fish geoff's went 12.7kg and pete's 11.3 Nice fish 5 other boats were getting good feed with some big Bulls been spotted

21.01.2022 Well the bad news the 19 / 20 game fishing season is over NSWGFA&GFAA have suspended all game fishing in Australia at this stage you still can go fish but not for any club points it sad news all club meetings have been canceled till we get the all clear if this changes we will let you know. stay safe everyone

21.01.2022 Seems the hot bite is out of Merimbula and Eden today with multiple boat having multiable hook ups geoff an Gloria out in Nevahome have tagged one and had a few lost

21.01.2022 I have received advice from the office of the Hon David Elliott MP that the ban on recreational fishing has been overturned. Legal advice has just been issued c...onfirming that fishing has been classified as passive exercises and therefore as long as social distancing and public gathering rules are complied with it can continue. This is a win for commonsense and will no doubt make a lot of people very happy. The overall advice for people is to remain at home unless it is necessary but if you need to fish, you are now able to do so.

20.01.2022 The Eden Game Club Have made the hard decision to CANCEL this years Tornament to be held on the 14th-16th Feb Taking in the recent weather patterns ,, with floods washing debris into the bay and ocean up the coast , As a club we have a duty of care to all Anglers , We regret the late notice , we would like to thank our sponsors and Anglers that offered support for our 2020 tornament

20.01.2022 Ok sun morning , at victor harbour SA ramp at 7am , 26 boats in front of us, oh well beautiful morning , (still boat owners can't reverse there trailers), anyway , hit the water at 8am , headed straight away from 30 other boats , at 1 stage we counted 12 boats on a patch , frizz was skipper today pulls up drop 3 lures out boys i got a feeling , before scott could click into gear 6m diver was on , around again bang on again same lurer , ok lets keep going , scott scream...s birds 10 o'clock , lures in bang of go's my 40 year old tld 50 (called silent runner due to clicker worn out ) 84cm tagged , The bust up was amazing ,we had no less then 6 huge Bronzies bobbing up and down mouth filled wit bait fish , we swapped lures for shark rigs diced up bait and thru it amongst the carnage , hooked a 210cm bronzie which took some time to get to boat, tagged and released , all our rigs are barbless for easy release , another hooked and lost , a few more tuna tagged , we moved of looking for another bust up, when we did the same stuff happened only this time frizz had hooked a unexpected foe , the fight was good and he held his own , for when this foe came to the boat our eyes nearlly fell out , A 6ft WHITE POINTER was hooked, amazing animal quite a few pics and video , then released total for day was 7 Bronzies tagged 1 kept 3 tuna tagged 2 kept 1 white pointer released unharmed , See more

18.01.2022 Well again a few boats ventured out , dodging the odd log on the way out , The odd dollie caught on 10" lures , had a beaky have a go at a livey but never hooked up, seen a few good size marlin on a bait ball , frustrating hour or so , tried all the tricks but couldn't get them to leave there dining table, So headed via the kingies , hooked up a few livies and bang Cams rods buckles over , a nice 9kg fish ,1.05m long , and again Geoff couldn't get his hooks to stick , A good day had , will have another go thurs

18.01.2022 Well its been a while, our president headed out today looking to break his donut run of 5 trips , so out to 36,54,south east 150,31 he dropped lures in early and away the rod went , With jelly legs and quivering lips geoff just kept saying stay attached please please , he pulled this 62kg yellow fin over side and the big answer is it was caught on a 2m dive lurer yellowfin colour , It took frizzer years to convince geoff to use divers

18.01.2022 Quarantine Bay launching facilities upgraded and looking great

16.01.2022 The water still dirty green , yesterday Geoff took a mate of ours from Narracourt sa trying for a marlin or anything really, Caught a sm dollie on a 10" lurer then had a skip bait taken dropped but never come back , Then the boys found a hand full of marlin all lit up sun baking but not interested in anything , Shockwave got 1 or 2 out the front , a few boats went super wide looking foe Tuna, Again the boys hit the water , and it didn't take long before we had a report that 111 85kg stripe Cameron a happy man now

15.01.2022 Its here the new pontoon is taking place at the Quarantine bay ramp , the long awaited pontoons along side the ramp without loosing a ramp lane is great, this will make it easier for those fishing alone etc , And in the near future new cleaning tables , the word is maybe stainless steel one's but we'll have to wait n see , photo taken by beach front caravan pk

14.01.2022 Service stations should be made employ people to serve at pump

12.01.2022 So frizzer travels 1300km to get a marlin , And Geoff has to tie him in the boat tomorrow to go have a look , he'd rather loose sinkers , what can i say

11.01.2022 Well hello , what a year 2020 has been , After Covet 19 took hold and the Committee decide to cancel the season ,things on the fishing scene was very quite for most of us , Except those blokes in South Australia , while local boats covered miles of water out of Eden to only come home with there pants firmly down around there feet and nothing to report , well back in SA the blue fin tuna run was still going all tho with the amount of ameture boats chasing them , Pete and ...myself set about tagging as much as we could , sometimes heading along way out from the ramp and away from the mob to find our own patch , Pete was chasing most tagged sharks in Australian waters and i set my sights on the tuna , On occasions we'd come across both feeding on huge schools of bait fish , Pete would launch a huge slab out while i would drag divers around , once we stopped we hope the right fish grabbed the right line , floating dive lures are great when above a feeding frenzy as the tuna dart in grab and run , Normally i'd only get 1 shot. Cause if pete hooked up to a big shark we'd drift away from the school , we were lucky over here as we were still able to go fishing at any time , Well our hard work paid off with the GFAA send thru our awards along with Andrew John nice capture of a 52kg yellow fin , i did see reports of yellow fin getting caught off bermi in close to the rocks See more

09.01.2022 Seen the Action is still up the coast from Eden i'd let you know that the Action off Victor Harbour and Kangaroo Island is still hot , over 20 boat competed in a non sanction tournament called the Wirrina Tuna Slam run by Adelaide Game Club , All the Action was out on the Saunders Banks , This is where every year the trawlers net there catch , but this year the fish sizes in the schools are to small , allowing the trailer boats free excess them , Winning fish was 19.3 an...d 18.6 over both days This year we had to contend with very big sharks , the odd Mako, very big Bronzies and a few whites amongst them , we caught tagged 2 x2.10 Bronzies 1x 180 white and was biten off by heaps , 1 boat beside us caught 11 fish only to hav 7 chewed up or biten off was a great weekend , cubeing was the go as the schools weren't' spooked by 100's of boats See more
