14.01.2022 Heavy Rainfall developing across the Northwest, Gulf and parts of the Central West and Channel Country with possible flood falls ** Request to share and t...ag property owners in the mentioned districts so they can move stock if they are able to higher ground ** A surface low currently located to the west of Townsville will track westwards slowly across the Goldfields and Upper Flinders during Thursday and the southern gulf district during Friday. It will then adopt a slow movement to the SW to S whilst deepening through the Northwest district. The lows positioning will draw in a deep moist northerly feed with showers rain areas and thunderstorms with heavy to flood falls likely. Widespread totals of 100-200mm are likely with higher totals of 200-400mm+ possible particularly in parts of the northwest, gulf country, western central west and northern channel country. Flooding is likely with areas in these western regions becoming isolated possibly for an extended period. Please note that some regions will receive less rainfall and some more and will be dependant on the lows strength positioning and movement. Rainfall estimates are given on the attached map on current model guidance across all models. If there are any major changes to this forecast due to modelling changes they will be posted to the page. Every home had one of these, although I hav...ent seen one for a long time. Remember how you could buy a water bag holder that you screwed on to the front bumper bar when the family was going on a car trip? It was the only way we carried water for the whole family....Mum would have aluminium annodised cups in a zip-up leather pouch and would hand one to each child for our drink when we stopped for petrol....No soft drinks were ever considered!
