25.01.2022 A group of Victorian cross border community members had an interesting chat this morning with SA Police Commissioner Grantley Stevens and SA Governor Hieu Van Le, at the Dukes Highway border crossing. It was a good opportunity to bring some of the more pressing issues to their attention.

25.01.2022 Just in case you thought nothing in 2020 had remained the same, here is your first reminder that some things haven't changed. Daylight saving starts in Victoria... at 2am next Sunday morning, the 4th of October. So, before you go to bed next Saturday night, remember to put your clocks FORWARD by 1 hour. It is also a timely reminder of the message from our mates at the CFA, to change the batteries in your smoke alarms as well. So there it is for another year, next Saturday night, before you go to bed, change the batteries in your smoke alarm and move your clocks forward by 1 hour. 21.01.2022 Less than 10 kilometres across the border from SA is a Victorian pub that has been cut off from almost half of its patrons for about six months. The hard border... has had quite a big effect on the business at the Border Inn Hotel in Apsley, with trade down 40 per cent or more, according Rob Carberry - one of the local farmers who owns the pub. 18.01.2022 13.2.21 A QUIET DAY IN EDENHOPE - NO HENLEY. Travelling the streets of Edenhope today was surreal. It was meant to be a big Henley celebration. It is not. The ...volunteers who put in months of planning every year, chose to cancel the event pre-emptively due to the uncertainty. Thank goodness they did. (Not everyone agreed, if you were one, it is not to late to recognise they did the right thing). If you haven't today, make contact with the volunteers and participants who may be a bit flat about the passing milestone. Our community is built on the hard work of volunteers, the support of locally owned businesses and a wider community that bands together when we can. This means as we are in it together. Henley will be back, and we will fill the streets again. Stay safe, get tested if unwell and keep your chin up while we deal with this pause. Next week would have been the Lake Charlegrark Country Music Marathon, we know this too is disappointing to miss. If you are not coping please reach out, you are not alone.

06.01.2022 Edenhope Tourism apologises for the delay in identifying the winners of the Christmas Lights Competition. Much has happened recently. Our independent judge was asked to make very hard decisions and congratulates every home who participated. Congratulations to every Edenhope resident for all their hard work decorating their houses, fences, footpaths and trucks. Considering 2020 was a very different year we sincerely thank everyone for lighting up and making it a happy time. 1st Prize. Hartas family. 2ndPrize. O’Bryan family. Looking forward to lighting up in 2021. Let’s keep the momentum going. We received many positive remarks from visitors out of town.
