25.01.2022 K-2 have had a wonderful morning at the athletics carnival! A huge congratulations to everyone for demonstrating outstanding behaviour and amazing sportsmanship. The sun was shining, the children were smiling and everyone tried their very best. ... We will post photos of the children who are receiving awards for effort and also the results from the sprint finals tomorrow following on from our special sports presentation. Well done everyone!!

24.01.2022 Well done to Tama, Kai, Brock, Daniel, Rylee and Charlotte who travelled all the way to Ulladulla yesterday to trial for the Far South Coast Touch Football team. There was some stiff competition amongst the 60 children who were trialling so it’s a huge congratulations to Tama who made it into the boys team, who will play in Albion Park in May!
23.01.2022 We had another amazing kindergarten orientation this morning! We played games with our buddies, had a tour of the school, visited the playground, read stories and completed a ladybird art activity!! A huge thanks to our Year 5 buddies for being such wonderful helpers today. ... We look forward to seeing you all again next Wednesday for our final kindergarten orientation!

22.01.2022 Well done to all of our students who participated in our school cross country today! It was great to see all our students participating and showing their resilience and sportsmanship. Unfortunately due to Covid-19 there will be no further representative levels this year, however we wanted to be able to give our students as much normality as possible and now that restrictions have eased we have been able to run our school event. Thanks to Mrs Ed for all her hard work and organisation to make it all happen.

21.01.2022 Opportunities to talk to your child's teachers are important and shouldn't be missed. Parent/teacher interviews are now available for booking through the Sentral Parent Portal. These interviews will be strictly limited to 10 minutes. Please book your time-slot before Friday to ensure an opportunity to discuss your child's progress at school. 20.01.2022 Eden Public School has moved to electronic communication of student reports, newsletters and booking of parent/teacher interviews. Parent/teacher interviews will be made available over the next two weeks. Parents will be required to make interview bookings through the Sentral Parent Portal. This is available for free from Apple or Android App store. Please ensure you download this app to access key information in regard to your child's education.

18.01.2022 YEAR 6 GRADUATION TOMORROW All students are required to wear full school uniform, which can be the Year 6 t-shirt. Parents are asked to be there by 1:30pm. Please do not try to find and talk to your child until after the presentation, as we are to follow Covid restrictions set out by the Seahorse Inn. 14.01.2022 This morning Koby competed at the NSWPSSA State Swimming Championships in Sydney. We're proud to tell you that he placed 15th out of 41 swimmers in the 9 years 50m free, swimming a personal best time of 36.29. Congratulations to Koby and his family!

13.01.2022 NEW FLAG POLES After waiting many months for new flagpoles they finally arrived during the holidays! We can now proudly fly the three flags that represent our Commonwealth and Indigenous cultures at the same time!! They look very impressive!! Thank you to our GA Al Westley for installing them.
12.01.2022 THE NAVY VISITS STAGE 3. We were thrilled to receive a visit from four of the crew of HMAS SUPPLY- the newest supply ship in the Australian Navy. Eden is their ceremonial home port and they want to become involved in the local community, or as they put it, embrace us as part of their naval family. The ship will be here next year and they have promised visits to the ship! Our students were captivated with the talk and offered interesting questions. We look forward to welcoming the HMAS SUPPLY to Eden next year.
12.01.2022 'FROM LITTLE THINGS, BIG THINGS GROW' As part of the amazing Re-Grow project, students at Eden Public School raised native tube stock for replanting in bushfire impacted gardens in the community. These plants have been distributed to members of the EPS community who were directly impacted by the fires. Thanks to all involved in the project including Bega Valley Shire Council, Convoy of Hope, Mitre 10 and Kangarutha Farm.

11.01.2022 A SPECIAL VISIT FROM OUR NEW MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT. Our new MP, Kristy McBain, visited our school today to present us with new flags to fly from our new flag poles. She presented Principal Tanja Vogt and our four school leaders with the flags which were then proudly raised by the leaders. Mrs McBain also spoke to the student body via our Friday Zoom Assembly about the importance of education and how we are all #learningtogether. Thank you Mrs Kristy McBain for taking the time to visit our school.

04.01.2022 We would like to congratulate our 8 nominees for School Leader 2021 who presented their speeches today. For the 1st time in the history of Eden Public School the speeches were delivered to all classes and staff via ZOOM. The 8 students ( Odin, Georgia, Ronnie, Vivienne, Daniel, Yani, Tama, and Marli ) presented each and every speech brilliantly and should be congratulated on their poise and confidence. 02.01.2022 We are looking forward to seeing our students return to school tomorrow 21st July. Schools remain operational under COVID-19 guidelines set by the state and federal health advice in accordance with the NSW Department of Education. Non-essential visitors are not to enter the school site. Any essential visitors must sign a declaration form kept at the front office. Please ensure you sign into the office if required to enter on site. Physical distancing regulations remain in place for all adults. Parents are asked to adhere to these guidelines during school drop offs and pick ups. The staff at Eden Public School appreciate your cooperation during these challenging times to ensure the well being and safety of all our students.
