23.01.2022 To our valued customers, We'd like to bring to your attention, new protocols which are being implemented at our clinics from today. This is to help minimise the spread of the covid-19 virus. Anyone visiting the clinic MUST wash their hands at the door before entry, with the supplied soap and water, scrubbing for at least 20 seconds. ... We also ask that you please have only 1 person to bring your pet into the clinic where possible. 12.01.2022 We are planning a trip into Mallacoota (pending police approval/escort) hopefully on Thurs 16th Jan. A number of people have expressed an interest in booking an appointment. If you haven’t done so and would like us to visit your animals please contact the clinic so we can add you to the list. Paddock visits for horses etc are available too. We are able to visit properties in Kiah, Narrabarba region already and hopefully Genoa, Timbillica etc as the road opens. ... We are also seeking a contact number for the volunteer vets there at the moment to organise donated supplies and work in with them if anyone knows? UPDATE: DELWP have got back to us and are responsible for the coordination of Vets in Coota through both the DVO and Wildlife Officers. They have been quite helpful, no contact numbers needed.

10.01.2022 Attention land managers on the Monaro and Far South Coast. Conditions in the Snowy Monaro, Snowy Mountains and Eden areas will deteriorate over the coming days.... If you have a plan that involves moving livestock, please move them to one of the large animal safe spaces at Bombala Saleyards, Cooma Saleyards, Cooma Showground or Bega Saleyards. Self care animal safe places are open for those who need to move their animals, including companion animals, you need to bring your own feed and feeding apparatus, as well as buckets for water carting and any other materials you may need to look after your animals for several days. If you have been affected by fire and need fodder and water for emergency animal welfare please call 1800 814 647 to request assistance with services including emergency fodder and stock water, animal assessments and veterinary services. The Hotline is open every day. Fodder distribution points are currently being set up on the Far South Coast, to get access to emergency fodder land managers must register via 1800 814 647. The location of distribution points may change as the fire conditions change, so please call 1800 814 647 for information.

09.01.2022 The phone number is not relevant for NSW, however the assessment of injured livestock holds true. Hopefully Saturday is not as bad as predicted and farmers don't need this information. NSW Government Assistance is available, please see our other posts.

09.01.2022 Update: owner located Does anyone recognise these puppas? Apparently from Eden and owner is known to be looking for them in Canberra.

09.01.2022 Our earlier issue with phones is now resolved - please use the normal number (6496 1252) to contact Eden - we are closed on a Thursday, but Pambula is open and their phones are working again.

08.01.2022 Yesterday Dr Nicole Rowley and Dr Justin Daniel dedicated their days off to help the residents of Mallacoota and their pets. Dr Nicole and Dr Justin spent the ...day examining companion animals, horses and cattle for a variety of injuries and concerns. All goods and services were provided free of charge as a gift towards this beautiful community that has been so severely affected by the bushfires. They were also able to check in on the wildlife and animal triage centre in town and make a donation of medical supplies there. There have been so many vets and animal carers who have volunteered their time to helping animals get through the aftermath of this crisis in this town. The heart and spirit of this community was a noble thing to behold, and our hearts go our to them and everyone affected by this disaster. A big thank-you must be forwarded to Provet and Vets Beyond Borders for their contributions to the medical supplies for this day, and also to the rest of the team at the Vet Clinics who held the fort at home and helped organise the day’s logistics to make this day possible.

07.01.2022 COVID-19 update: We remain OPEN Veterinary Services are classified as an essential service. We have implemented a number of safety measures already and will be extending this to splitting our staff into teams. One team will work out of Merimbula and the other out of Pambula / Eden. These teams will have no contact with each other at or outside of work. This is to keep our services available if one team needs to self isolate. Our afterhours service is also available for... clinic and farm visits as per normal. This will also mean Saturdays will swap between Pambula and Merimbula depending on which team the oncall vet belongs to. This may make things harder to see your favourite veterinarian (or nurse!) but as records are merged you may attend any of the 3 clinics. We will also still be conducting our fortnightly trip to Mallacoota, as being a essential service we are exempt from the 14 day border isolation - however safety measures to prevent viral spread will be taken. If you require medications, treatments or pet food brought down please let us known in advance. Out next planned trip is the 8th of April (TBC). If you are feeling unwell or are in isolation we ask that you have a friend or family member bring your pet in as well as notifying us prior to the visit so we can undertake appropriate safety measures.

07.01.2022 Dog found in Eden. Proof of ownership will be required. Please call Pambula Vet clinic ( as Eden will be closed) in the morning if this is your dog or you might know who owns it. The dog is safe and warm tonight at the vets.

06.01.2022 We are planning to be OPEN on FRIDAY. There is a VERY HIGH CHANCE OF CLOSING IN AFTERNOON Our PAMBULA & MERIMBULA clinics are OPEN FRIDAY MORNING, it is likely we will close the clinics by lunch to allow staff time to prepare depending on conditions. Some of our staff with young families have left for Cooma onwards, please be patient with those still able to assist you and your pets - we are all facing the danger together.

05.01.2022 For anyone still needing to replace boundary fences the government has made more funding available.

05.01.2022 We are currently experiencing phone difficulties. Please phone our Pambula clinic on 6495 7873 or our Merimbula clinic on 64951261. We understand the frustration this may cause and hope to have everything back up and running asap. Thank you for your understanding and patience.

04.01.2022 We are now closed until the fire threat is passed. Our vets are available 24/7 on 0409 141 575. If you are unable to get through and need urgent advice please contact a vet away from the fire zone. We will do our best to provide an emergency ONLY service over the weekend.
