25.01.2022 BREAKING NEWS!!! The new BRM Aero B23 - 750 kg aircraft received its EASA full certification yesterday in the Normal Category. This aircraft brings to the aviation market a two seat aircraft with a 300 kg plus useful load which is fantastic. This certification also includes Night VFR with IFR on the way. The first 30 aircraft sold will be discounted for those keen to have the best aircraft in this weight category furnished with the latest technology and ergonomics that guarantee comfort for hours of flying. Check the link out below for all the specifications. Contact Brett Anderson at Anderson Aviation Australia for further information. A brochure on the aircraft will be available later today. https://www.bristell.com/aeroplanes-b23

25.01.2022 This is worth a read and makes you wonder what families of deceased or injured pilots and passengers might think. And yes it raises very interesting questions as to why Recreational Aviation Australia do not want us to see the accident report!! Do RA-Aus and CASA have something to hide? If not hand over the report. The ATSB don't have a problem publishing their reports! https://aopa.com.au/who-is-regulating-who-raaus-refuse-to/

21.01.2022 The Bristell B8 has an all-metal wing without struts and also a steerable nose wheel. The cabin width is 125cm. The cabin doors are made of composite material as well as the luggage compartment door. The basic model will be powered by the Rotax 912 ULS (100 HP). At a later stage, Bristell plans to develop options to fit the other Rotax engines, such as the 914 and the 915is. Looking forward to seeing this arrive on our shores very early 2021 if not earlier. This will be a ga...me changer for high wing Aircraft in its class. High quality build, equipped with the latest technology as with all the Bristell variants unsurpassed comfort and safety.

20.01.2022 Busy at Riddells Creek Airfield today.

19.01.2022 Just have a look at this fine specimen of an aircraft. Fully certified 750kg MTOW. Congratulations BRM Aero

18.01.2022 This is just fantastic. Can’t wait to fly one.

17.01.2022 Just take a look at the cockpit of the new B23 Bristell. It just doesn’t get better. All enquiries to Brett Anderson of Anderson Aviation Australia.

14.01.2022 This is going to be a great addition to the BRM Aero stable of aircraft. Fully certified and packing the great comfort and features of the already highly successful Bristell variants.

11.01.2022 Today we sent in a further submission to the Commonwealth Ombudsman in support of the Bristell aircraft to prove the decision made by CASA was administratively flawed when imposing operating limitations on this aircraft. It is our strong opinion that this has the potential due to the CASA criticism of the self certification standards in this case ASTM 2245 to undermine the very reason we have these category of aircraft. We have been pushing back at CASA for a year now since c...oming on board to support and defend the Bristell aircraft and BRM Aero the manufacturer. This aircraft has been dealt a blow that no other aircraft has experienced despite only one fatality in Australia in 9 years of operation in 60 aircraft, nearly half of which are used for flight training. By the way that accident was determined to be pilot error and not the fault of the aircraft by the Victorian State Coroner. Over this past year we have accumulated a large amount of evidence to support why we believe the decision of CASA was wrong, unfair unjust and discriminatory. We will await the Ombudsman decision however intend to make it known how why and who caused this to occur. There are a number of other aircraft that have had accidents that have resulted in more fatalities than the Bristell and yet they enjoy the privilege of not yet being attacked by CASA. Why? More to come later. https://youtu.be/Rr_4BTsLnxY

09.01.2022 Below is taken from the Inquest into the Replica Spitfire accident in QLD some years ago. Office of the State Coroner Queensland. Taken from the website. ‘RA-Aus It is vital that if RA-Aus is to continue in their current role with limited resources, they must rely on the integrity and honesty of those seeking to have registration under its auspices. There must therefore be a clear deterrent to anybody who intends to circumventthe systems of safety by wrongly registering an ...aircraft. As such, I recommend that RA-Aus take the strongest possible action they can against Mr O’Sullivan and they should consider terminating his membership and cancelling all certificates and endorsements currently in his possession. I also recommend that within their limited resources, RA-Aus implement a more effective screening and auditing system to randomly check information such as weight calculations and other information provided for registration. RA-Aus provides a valuable service to police and coroners by investigating recreational aircraft acidents involving their members and aircraft registered with them, when the ATSB chooses not to investigate. Unfortunately, this coronial investigation was affected by RA-Aus’ failure to finalise their investigation into this matter. I therefore recommend that better procedural processes be established by management to ensure that all investigations are finalised within a timely manner in the future. Also, an allegation arose in this inquest of RA-Aus altering an investigator’s report into a different matter. RA-Aus submitted, and it is accepted, that their investigators are contracted by them to provide them the information to furnish an organisational report. Management consults with investigators to amend their findings where they do not align with RA-Aus’ view. In order to uphold the public’s confidence into the future, it is recommended that such consultation between RA-Aus as an organisation and their investigators be recorded and transparent. Where agreement is not Findings of inquest into the death of Dr Uscinski reached, consideration should be given by RA-Aus to finalising a report and annexing the investigator’s report, including areas where there are distinguishing aspects.’ https://www.courts.qld.gov.au//3/cif-uscinski-20141229.pdf

09.01.2022 If ever there was a time to join AOPA it is now. At a time when there is so much unrest, uncertainty and problems businesses and individuals are having with our regulator, support and a voice is what you need. So go to www. aopa.com.au/membership

09.01.2022 Letter sent on to Texan owners from CASA. Wow been flying up to 100kgs overweight and it appears it’s okay to keep flying them. I am told that 6 of these aircraft have had undercarriage leg failures. But that’s okay!

06.01.2022 This is worth a look. Fully certified 750kg 2 seat aircraft that will fit any use be it private or flight training. Manufacturing excellence sees this aircraft fitted with the latest technology, ergonomically perfect and build quality on the airframe like no other.

04.01.2022 I need to say this. If you really care about the future of our industry then invest a small amount of money and join AOPA. #AOPA Ben Morgan work long hard hours advocating for us all from the grass roots of this industry to airlines. And he speaks at the highest levels of our government. It will be the smallest financial investment you will make, but it will be the best. https://aopa.com.au/membership/

02.01.2022 I heard a rumour that CASA thinks these guys may not be good enough to conduct spin testing on the Bristell! Russian qualified test pilot certified compliance on spin testing for the Bristell but CASA not ‘satisfied’. Go figure!
