06.01.2022 JUST IN: BORDER ZONE UPDATE Member for Indi Helen Haines says she spoke to the NSW Cross-Border Commissioner about the border zone expansion. The inclusion of additional Victorian communities in the border zone is likely to happen. This includes Tawonga South, Porepunkah, Greta, and surrounding communities.... It's not clear when this will occur, but she encourages the NSW Government to amend its Public Health Order as soon as possible. The amended protocol for agricultural workers has also been spoken about. The amendment is with the NSW Health Minister and now waiting for his signature for these changes to proceed.

06.01.2022 BORDER PERMITS ANNOUNCEMENT At the Premiers media conference today she announced there will be a further easing of border restrictions. In brief: What is all...owed under Victorias Step 3 for regional areas will be allowed on the border. Some additional communities will come within the Border Region. There will be more exemptions for shearers and harvesters. Amended public health orders to authorise the changes are with the NSW Health Minister and should be signed today or tomorrow, with implementation sometime next week. See more
