16.01.2022 Today marks the beginning of National Child Protection Week, where we acknowledge the many ways big and small we can all make a difference in the lives of c...hildren and young people. This year’s theme, Putting Children First, highlights the importance of prioritising the safety and wellbeing of children and young people. At Scouts Queensland, we are committed to putting this into practice. Empowering our children and young people is at the heart of our organisation and underpins all the work we do and the decisions we take. We are committed to safeguarding the youth in our care, and creating an environment where all our members are safe, supported and protected. For more information about how we achieve this please see our website.

15.01.2022 Scout leaders are all volunteers who give up their time to help and guide our youth members through their scouting journey. Every week they show up in a multitu...de of ways. Leaders celebrate their youth members achievements, encourage them when they struggle and offer an ear to listen when needed. Madison was lucky enough to have Super Sam (left) and Blue (right) as her leaders for 4 and 7 years respectively during her time in Scouts and Venturers. They weren't just her leaders they were her mentor's and became her very respected friends. #mtmb #fnq_scouts #scoutsqld #scoutsaustralia #scouts #venturers #community #nonprofit #giveback #volunteerappreciation #leaderappreciation #thankyou #MadisonTamMemorialBenefit
