06.01.2022 OH NO they’re back!! Yes we know there are a lot of mushroom lovers out there, but these guys aren’t your regular edible type. Mushrooms that grow in your yard are toxic to our pets, and unfortunately smell delicious to our canine friends. Garden mushrooms love to grow in warm wet weather, so checking your yard daily to protect your pet is crucial.... Mushroom toxicity signs to look out for: Weakness and loss of balance Vomiting and/or Diarrhoea Excessive salivating Jaundice - the yellowing of skin and "whites of eyes" Scarily, ingesting mushrooms can cause liver damage. Prompt veterinary treatment is needed if you notice any of the above signs. Time to put on those rain coats and gumboots and explore your yard! Love the EAMC team x
