22.01.2022 This small white rose, Rosa pimpinellifolia is growing in the nature strip garden. The flowers petals are delicious, used dried or fresh, I like them with breakfast porridge and coconut yoghurt. Later in the season it has black rose hips.

13.01.2022 My nature strip garden is in bloom, this is the apothecaries rose Rosa Gallica officinalis. (Thank you Lindy Campbell), edible petals and later rose hips high in vitamin c, beautiful and edible.

12.01.2022 The melaleucas are a draw card for all types of pollinators. Bees foraging in the Melaleuca flowers. I’m looking forward to tasting the spring honey.
