15.01.2022 HAPPY EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATORS DAY! As we take this opportunity to practice gratitude for each other, we reflect on perhaps the most challenging year in our teaching careers: 2020. A massive shoutout to our little superhero friends for the resilience that they have shown throughout this challenging pandemic Never did we think we would need to explain to them about a virus that spreads like wildfire, social distancing, mask wearing, why we can’t visit our loved ones, and ...why most of our friends remain at home. We are in awe of you and you are the reason that we teach A shoutout to our amazing educators who remain dedicated and continue to show up each day for the children and families who are still attending our service, while also providing activity packs and remote learning options for those who remain at home. Here’s to all Early Childhood Educators! We are stronger together . . #appreciationstation #happyeducatorsday2020 #thankateacher See more

10.01.2022 Who Sank the Boat? We have been exploring the concept of sinking and floating over the last few weeks, and decided to extend on the children’s interest in this by making our own boats! We used one of our favourite Pamela Allen stories for our inspiration for this fun experience, and used the animal characters from the story as our boat passengers. We then raced our foil boats outside, with the help of some straws to motor them along! . .... #whosanktheboat #wasitthetinymouse #pamelaallen #playprovocation #learningthroughplay #earlylearning101 #earlylearningmelbourne #sinkingandfloating #invitationtoplay #playbasedlearning #eylf #kindergarten #kindergartenteacher #learningprovocations #learningfromhome See more

08.01.2022 I would like to acknowledge the incredible work and tireless efforts our teachers have made all year, never flinching through all that has been asked of them, and going above and beyond in their dedication to our kinder and our community. We're so lucky to have Kate, Carly, Tamsyn, Marie & Sandy as part of our community! Please show them your appreciation!

02.01.2022 Teddy Bears’ Sleepover . . What a week celebrating the end of Term 2! Our 4YO children brought in a teddy to sleepover at Kinder. We made warm pajamas for our teddies and tucked them into bed for the night. We were very surprised to discover that our cheeky teddies had thrown a party overnight without us! Each teddy wrote a letter to their owner detailing what fun they had been up to. Our Kinder friends thought this was hilarious! Wishing all our families a healthy, safe and happy break and thanking you for your support during this challenging Term! @ Edithvale, Victoria, Australia
