24.01.2022 A few days ago, a young man well educated, workings and successful, from a respected family decided to end his life as he could not cope with "depression" any longer. Then there is another in a similar situation who has chosen to deal with this "demon" with alcohol and drugs and has lost all dignity in life. The pain for the parents is just the same. People looking on do not realise this. They are ready to support one set of parents and not the other!

19.01.2022 The massacre in Sri Lanka! I heard a man saying that the people responsible should be "punished severely as only animals can do this". No, animals do not do this; they never kill or destroy their own kind. Who ever did this and who ever allowed this to happen do not deserve to share this earth with others. The only way forward is for the whole world to unite and condemn this act. But will our world leaders do that?

17.01.2022 I have come to a fork road in my life. For the first time I am forced to take stock of my life and contemplate: Who am I? What do I want from life? and Why am I put on this earth? Today all I can think of is the second question.... I am totally tired of rearranging my life to make others happy. From now on I shall focus on my life and what I need to spend my Golden Years in Peace. See more

16.01.2022 Language evolves, it is said but the following bothers me; Using "that" in place of "who" seems common place these days. A true friend is one who will stand by you. A hammer is a tool that is used to hit a nail in. Who --- represents a person... That --- represents a thing or an animal. See more

14.01.2022 It is a long time since I wrote on this page! Two "wrong usages" are becoming commonplace on FB. I would like to offer my "corrections". "Should of" is wrong. It should read - should have! The other is the use of "who" and "that".... "Who" - is used for people and "that" - is for everything else. Eg. the person who helped me --'--- and not the person that helped me "that" refers to animals and objects ----- the tree that has fallen down the car that went off the road the dog that was mistreated I hope this helps.
