That is how civilizations heal. I know the world is bruised and bleeding, and though it is important not to ignore its pain, it is also critical to refuse to succumb to its malevolence. Like failure, chaos contains information that can lead to knowledge even wisdom. Like art.

05.01.2022 Day 2 of Come to your senses, with a truly fine batch of writers, finds me here at The Create Escape headquarters in beautiful Brunswick. It's not remarkable on one level, because 'hanging around words' with writers is one of my favourite things, but worth remarking on the joy that's emerging from the writers' deep observation and smart noticing, poured into so much vivid writing, writing, writing and... the soundtrack of large dollops of laughter. How good to be holding this in the midst of the crazy that is our world right now.
