25.01.2022 Silk pillow cases for Christmas!! Yes they really do add shine and reduce hair frizz- my hairdresser is really impressed with the improvement. Less friction and... creasing of your skin, and absorbes less of your face cream. I really think they work. As a side sleeper I used to see wrinkles where I'd slept with my face scrunched into the pillow, but not as much now. Available in pink and charcoal, we have the highest grade 25 momme available. 23.01.2022 SPOTLIGHT ON OUR SPONSORS THE PIE MECHANIC There have been a few changes recently at 66 Bridge Street, home of The Pie Mechanic. The Pie Mechanic and Fe Fi Fo P...atisserie have recently merged and are now operated by Jaime Schultz and Alex Pordage. While Jaime has been employed since inception of the venue, she and her collaborator Alex remain committed to maintaining the shop’s integrity; the reason that has been keeping residents of Uralla, the surrounding area and travellers from far and wide returning for more of their locally-sourced pies, pastries and coffee. Not to mention the welcoming, feel-good vibe that abounds. Alex and Jaime have a strong team, working to keep the customers streaming in and out. The growing queue forming down beautiful Uralla’s busy Bridge Street on the weekends is a great sight. The Pie Mechanic also operates at the local markets, including Armidale, Walcha, Inverell, Glen Innes, Narrabri and Gloucester. Currently, a patisserie-only stall, plans to include the pies, and more, are underway. Alex and Jaime are working hard to include more and more dietary options on the menu, and post updates on Facebook and Instagram. New menu items are always considered, including the recent addition of Gluten Free Pies. The range of Gluten Fee pastries and cakes has also been increased. John & myself (Jannine) live on a 1000 acre property with cattle, sheep and our latest add...ition to the farm, Isa Brown hens. The girls happily roam the paddocks where they flit & fly about, socialise, scratch about eating the grasses, seeds, bugs and worms they catch, enjoy a good dirt bath as well as enjoying the fresh air and sunshine. The girls have access to a ‘ state of the art ' chicken caravan, where they roost and lay their eggs, going in and out as they please. They are usually out and about from sunup to dusk . Talk about living the good life! So. All of this living the good life is reflected in the quality of eggs they are producing with eggs gathered being full of flavour, having good coloured yolks along with the great nutritional benefits. Our customers tell us that they are very happy with the quality, especially when they crack open an egg and get a double yolker!!! We are selling our eggs in cartons by the dozen or trays of thirty.
