The design was based on the previous chrome cover, which couldn't stand the tests of time. This design had originally been tested using PLA plastic, however, these were found to easily break meaning that a superior material was needed. WORKSHOP: Our Heavy Fabrication workshop currently requires experienced Workshop Boilermakers. You must be willing to work long hours, and positions for the successful applicants will commence immediately. All personal wil...l be able to work in a fast paced environment, to ensure project deliverables in line with client deadlines. They must be a team player who are responsible for a high quality of work, while having a positive attitude towards safety. SITE PROJECTS: EDMS Australia require Site Experienced Boilermakers and Riggers, preferably with experience in the Sugar Mill Industry. Pipe Fitting experience is essential for this project. You must be able to work away from home, on a family friendly 5-2 roster, and be available for an immediate start. Work expected to last until at least Christmas. 02.01.2022 One of the most common questions we get asked is - what is Onyx? Onyx is a nylon and carbon fibre composite. Along with a high-quality surface finish and the excellent chemical compatibility of Nylon. The chopped fibres within the Onyx material adds stiffness to your manufactured parts, providing micro-carbon reinforcement to make parts stiff, strong, and true to their dimensions. Onyx is about twice as strong as ABS because of the micro-carbon reinforcement. Because Onyx con...tains nylon, the engineering toughness and wear resistance is comparable as well, and the material has a heat deflection temperature of 145C! You can use it with one of our four fibres, to even further strengthen your parts. With Onyx and composite fibers, the strength of your advanced manufactured parts can have a higher strength to weight ratio than aluminium, which is awesome! Has this got you as excited as we are?
