25.01.2022 As part of celebrating 30 years of Edmund Rice Camps in SA, we're asking for your support to help raise $3,000 by the end of the year. COVID-19 has significantly impacted our ability to run in-person fundraising, so we're asking that if you, or someone you know, has been impacted by Eddie Rice Camps over the past 30 years, that you donate $30 (or any amount you can). All money raised will support our 2021 camp programs and allow us as an organisation to continue to impact th...e lives of children, families, and our young adult volunteers. Donate now at: www.givenow.com.au/ercsa30

19.01.2022 It's sometimes hard to describe the transformational change that we can make. For 30 years we've directly impacted the way that thousands of people see themselves, and helped them build futures of hope and happiness. One of the lives we've changed is Narelle's. This video is only a part of the story of how camps changed not only her life but the life of her daughter as well. You can listen to the rest of Narelle's Story here: https://www.edmundricecampssa.org/narelles-story ...To support our work, and our 30 for 30 campaign head to www.edmundricecampssa.org/30-for-30 where you can either spend 30 minutes and share your ERCSA story, or donate $30 to help us reach our goal of $3,000 raised by the end of the year. #ercsa #30for30

19.01.2022 Narelle's daughter was one of our campers for close to a decade, and throughout that time camps were able to not only impact her daughters life, but her own life as well. Here is just a snippet of her story. You can read more here: www.edmundricecampssa.org/narelles-story ERCSA's 30 year history is full of stories like Narelle's. For the rest of 2020 we're sharing those stories. If you've been impacted by ERCSA, take 30 minutes out and share your story here: www.edmundricecampssa.org/30-for-30

13.01.2022 ERCSA acknowledges that we operate on Kaurna Land. We pay our respects to elders both past and present, and acknowledge the Kaurna people’s cultural, spiritual, physical, and emotional connection with their land, waters, and community. We also recognise that we have previously, and will into the future, run programs on Peramangk, Ngarrindjeri, and Andyamanthanha Country. The land we meet on always was, and always will be Aboriginal Land. As an organisation we are inspired and nurtured the the wisdoms, spiritualities and experiences of First Nations Peoples. Together we work actively for reconciliation, justice, equity, and healing. Spend some time this week researching the land you are on, and connect with First Nations story of the land you stand on #naidocweek #naidoc2020

12.01.2022 Jess started their journey with Eddie Rice Camps in 2010. Over many camps, Jess became the go to volunteer to either lead a camp song (Highland Goat being a favourite), or work 1:1 with children who needed a bit of extra TLC. For over a decade Jess has been a dedicated supporter of Edmund Rice Camps SA. Here is just a snippet of how volunteering with ERCSA impacted Jess's life. You can read the rest of Jess' Story here: www.edmundricecampssa.org/post/jess-story ERCSA's 30 year history is full of stories like Jess'. For the rest of 2020 we're sharing those stories. 11.01.2022 On Tuesday Night we celebrated #NAIDOCWeek2020 with some of our volunteers and explored this years theme of Always Was, Always Will Be. Out of that discussion, as an organisation we are proud to show our support for the Uluru Statement from the Heart and we encourage everyone in our community to do the same. Thanks to Tayah and Ashleigh for pulling this post together, and those volunteers who have already gotten involved and written to their MPs. ... We'd encourage everyone in our community to get involved today and show their support for the Uluru Statement from the Heart. We leave base camp and start our trek across this vast country. We invite you to walk with us in a movement of the Australian people for a better future. From the Uluru Statement of the Heart. Always Was, Always Will Be. Resources to get involved can be found here: www.edmundricecampssa.org/post/support-the-uluru-statement #NAIDOC2020 #NAIDOCWeek #UluruStatement

11.01.2022 Tonight a group of our volunteers celebrated #naidocweek by learning about the #ulurustatement and what they can do as Non-Indigenous Australians to be better advocates for its cause. Check back later in the week to see what they come up with, and how you can get involved

09.01.2022 Spring Mini Camps In the springs school holidays, we were finally able to get back on camp with our campers Two groups of volunteers (totally 56 volunteers all together) dedicated 4 days across our two mini camps to mentor, and spend some long-overdue time with 32 of our campers (16 a camp) ... While COVID-19 made things a little different than normal, both mini camps were a huge success and only made possible by the ANZ Australia's Community Foundation Program and the support of Rostrevor College We spent as much time as we could out in nature, with both camps enjoying Morialta Conservation Park, along with the return of camp activities like uno, golden child and more. One of our volunteers Luke helped lead one of the Mini Camps, had this to say about his experience: "The mini camp experience was extremely wholesome. Being able to come together for even a small amount of time in such a weird year and still see the effort other volunteers are putting in to make these campers have the best possible days was honestly heartwarming. Not only this but being able to see the smiles and impact that we could have on those campers! Couldn't have asked for a better group of leaders or campers! Loved every moment and have friends and memories for life!" Thanks to everyone who helped us get back on camp.

09.01.2022 30 for 30 Since 1990 Edmund Rice Camps South Australia (ERCSA) has been dedicated to our campers, families, and community. 07.01.2022 Always Was, Always Will Be Today marks the start of National NAIDOC Week and throughout this week we're celebrating across our organisation. As the NAIDOC website states: 'NAIDOC 2020 invites all Australians to embrace the true history of this country a history which dates back thousands of generations.... It’s about seeing, hearing and learning the First Nations’ 65,000+ year history of this country - which is Australian history. We want all Australians to celebrate that we have the oldest continuing cultures on the planet and to recognise that our sovereignty was never ceded. Always Was, Always Will Be.' #NAIDOC2020 #NAIDOCWeek #NAIDOC #kaurnacountry

03.01.2022 To bring #NAIDOCWeek2020 to a close, we're super excited about Australia's Posts support for Gomeroi woman Rachael McPhail's campaign to include First Nations place names in Australian addresses. We'd ask that anyone sending post to the ERCSA office in future use the following postal address. We've also updated our website, Volunteer Applications and Referrals to include this information as well! Happy NAIDOC Week!
