13.01.2022 "Mira la diferencia entre la mano de un preescolar (izquierda) y la mano de un nio de 7 aos (derecha). Los padres regularmente preguntan porque su hijo de eda...d preescolar no es capaz de escribir. Este es el por qu! Sus manos estn an desarrollndose y no estn totalmente formadas. Entonces, qu deberamos hacer para apoyarlos? JUGAR! Tomado de: Mindful Moments Preschool & Before/After School Care Traducccin: Crianza con Paz

07.01.2022 You may have been given the advice to "narrate your day" when helping a little one learn to talk. This basically means talk out loud...a lot. The more words y...our child hears, the better. Makes sense. Heres the next step (or two): problem solve out loud. Use conversation starters to invite your little one to participate. They may not yet have all the words but they can point, they can gesture, they can attempt to help you. At least they are actively participating and not just passively listening to your narration. These questions are not meant as a test, but as a general wondering about the answer. No pressure to respond, but the opportunity exists. To help, you may need to: 1. start the response but leave out the key word such as, "Oh, yes, you need a...(spoon!)" 2. offer choices so they remember which word to use: "Do you need a fork or a spoon?" 3. do nothing more than stop talking or wonder "hmm..." so that they have a chance to help you! :-) Once they understand language, they may need more opportunities to practice it. Engage them. Invite them. You may be surprised!

06.01.2022 Thrilling Thursday Book Week 2020! Yay Team EPEC!

05.01.2022 Urgent update regarding COVID in the Casula/Liverpool area There have been two confirmed cases of COVID transmission in the local area - with both visiting ...the Crossroads Hotel in Casula. These two people attended the hotel on Friday 3 July - anyone who has attended the hotel on this date, or since then, are being urged to attend a pop-up COVID testing facility, which is being set up in their car park from 5pm today. It will be there over the weekend as well. This situation shows how important it is to get tested for COVID if you have symptoms - and importantly to stay home and isolate to stop the spread **** please note - we have since clarified they were there Friday 3 not Sat 4. Post has been updated. Apologies for the confusion but we are getting the information out to you as quick as possible and unfortunately were given the wrong date. **** I will post more information as it is available.
