23.01.2022 Early childhood education has a long history of valuing play and this understanding is becoming more prevalent in primary education. The Early Years Learning Framework for Australia (2009:15) outlines the many roles educators take in play and the range of strategies they use to support learning. These include: Engaging in sustained shared conversations within play experience to extend children’s thinking Providing a balance between child led, child initiated and educator... supported learning Creating learning environments to support learning Interacting with babies and children within play to build attachment Supporting the inclusion of all children in play Recognising spontaneous teachable moments as they occur and using intentional teaching strategies such as demonstrating, and engaging in shared thinking and problem solving We recently had the privilege of working closely with the team at Glendenning Public School, NSW and transforming their plain playground play space into fun, engaging, vibrant learning space.

23.01.2022 Research has linked play to fostering creativity and imagination, valued traits that are vital in the modern world. Using imagination, children are able to find solutions to a variety of problems they encounter. Fostering imagination in its ‘natural habitat’ of play at an early age is fundamental to developing curiosity and raising a generation of creative problem-solvers. We recently had the opportunity to work closely with the team at Pomona Public School, NSW and transforming their plain playground space into a bright, fun and engaging learning space. End result = fantastic looking playground

20.01.2022 Engagement in play is closely associated with the development of social and emotional skills. Playing cooperative games and circle games brings joy as children share these social experiences with friends. It also plays an important pedagogical role of developing a sense of belonging to a community. Without the feeling of connectedness, children will not be able to engage in learning. We recently had the privilege of working closely with Ferncourt Public School, NSW and transforming their plain playground space into a bright, engaging and active learning space.

20.01.2022 Children are naturally curious. They want to know about the world around them. They do this by watching, listening, moving, talking, feeling, exploring and questioning. These interactions and experiences often involve play. Through play, children can discover their own interests, abilities and limitations; they imagine, investigate and explore. They develop memory skills, build vocabulary, learn new skills and knowledge and learn how to get on with adults and other children. We recently had the privilege of working closely with the team at Ringrose Public School, NSW and transforming their plain playground space into a bright, fun and engaging learning space. End Result = Fantastic Looking Playground

16.01.2022 The addition of playground markings can transform a plain and dull asphalt or concrete area into a bright, vibrant and engaging learning space. Unlike paint markings that tend to fade due to wear and tear, thermoplastic playground markings are non-slip; safe; durable and even come in attractive colours. We recently had the opportunity to work closely with the City of Adelaide, South Australia, transforming their plain playground space into a bright, fun and engaging space for public use!

11.01.2022 From offering children a chance to ask questions, problem solve, work collaboratively and conduct structured experimentation, play is a key component of learning. 11.01.2022 The playground is an extension of the classroom and is a place where early social learning takes place. Aside from traditional sporting markings, designs such as; multiplication table, mirror me, number target and hopscotch will give children plenty of opportunity to play and learn together. We recently had the privilege of working closely with the team at St Cecilia's Primary School, Glen Iris, VIC and transforming their plain playground space into a bright, active and engaging learning space. 06.01.2022 Everyday activities can be fun learning opportunities. Pretending, creating and helping allows children to discover new things. Play helps children learn about themselves and where they fit in the world. Evidence shows that play can support learning across physical, social, emotional and intellectual areas of development. We recently had the privilege of working closely with the team at Our Lady of the Assumption Parish Primary School, VIC and transforming their plain playground space into a fun, engaging and active learning space.
