25.01.2022 Before I decided I wanted to become a Wedding Photographer, I had a list of things I desired out of a career. To travel around the world, to have flexibility of time, to have opportunities to grow my income and if the opportunity ever came, to still work whilst running a family household. All of these career desires were really important to me and as a result, that's how I ended up doing what I do. Yet, something that has presented itself time and time again that I now value ...more then any of these things; experiencing beautiful connections of love, trust and happiness between people. It's very easy to become indifferent to our world, the problems society face and the stresses we endure, but for a day or two every week, I am directly reminded how beautiful life actual is. I don't think there are many other careers that offer this raw, unique beauty. How truly lucky I am?! Tom and Alicia, sharing their love, with me.

25.01.2022 Wedding Photography is my bread and butter. I love my main gig for many reasons, but the biggest is, it allows me to follow my passion and help others, particularly those in rural areas. I’m truly grateful and overwhelmed by the support shown to me for my 60 Minutes Australia Interview last night. It was incredibly humbling. But I owe a huge thanks to anyone who has ever commissioned me to shoot their wedding or referred me to a friend. Because without this gig, Wander of the West never would have eventuated. From the bottom of my heart, thank you, a million times over! If you missed the interview, here it is: https://www.9now.com.au//20/clip-cjagc2v3y00340hmu2cmewmtk

24.01.2022 Yesterday we buried my 88 year old grandfather. As much as I am broken about his passing, my heart aches for my dear grandmother. They met when she was 15 and he was 18. They knew each other for 67 years and were married for 63. Almost a whole lifetime spent together and ended so swiftly. Pa was many great things, but my favourite memory of him was that every single morning he brought my grandmother a cup of tea in bed. A simple, easy, act of love, every single day. He had v...arious passions, but his love for my grandmother was like no other. She was his world. Many people go through life searching for a love like this and their love was an amazing example to reach for. The respect, laughs, shared passions and kindness they had for each other was immeasurable. When asked the secret to a long and happy marriage they both commented that commitment, compromise communication and co- operation were the ingredients that got them through the highs and lows. Every tear that I have shed over the last week, is for how my heart breaks for her loss. How it is almost as if her arm has been instantly cut off from her. I couldn't imagine the immense pain she must now feel and the emptiness in her soul. But oh, what a life and love she had. So rarely experienced, so greatly desired. I will miss you greatly pa. You were an incredible man in many ways, not just as a family man and I will promise to look after nan and keep her company, until you are together again. x

23.01.2022 If I had a dollar for every time I heard a guest comment something along the lines of "Oh my goodness, watch out for her dress", I would be sitting somewhere far more luxurious in the world with a cocktail in hand rather than on my couch in my pyjamas, wondering what nothingness in my fridge I will eat tonight... BUT my brave Brides know that in order to get special photos, there is an unwritten acknowledgement that I will ask them to do things and go places that no wedding d...ress is made to go! Tom and Dimity. Bringing charm, glamour and amazingness to the dusty, drought impacted sheep yards. On the blog now! http://edwinarobertson.com/tom-and-dimity-wedding-dresses-/

23.01.2022 Just shouted myself the most expensive bottle of red I could find ($18 to be precise) from the Deepwater Inn and had a home cooked meal of steamed vegetables and nearly out of date Chicken legs. Not the most glamorous of ways to celebrate but I probably wouldn't have it any other way! Tune in tonight to 60 Minutes Australia at 8.30pm to watch my wholehearted story with Charles Wooley about my recent trip around Australia, Wander of the West.

23.01.2022 Thought timeline from the past 10 Days... [Sunday] Ok, not so bad, a few changes needed. How are my friends doing? I feel sorry for those who are losing work. My business will be fine, it’s secure. [Monday/ Tuesday/ Wednesday] Right, sh*t’s getting real. Implement some small changes, it’s only for a few months. You’ve got this. Keep positive Edwina.... [Thursday] It’s time to hustle. How can I make up some of the income I’ve lost? What do I need to implement/ adapt to? This is really overwhelming. It won’t be for long. I'm so drained. [Friday] I’ve got this. It’s going to be ok. You’ve dealt with worse before. What a year this week was?! How nice to have some free time over the weekend. [Saturday] I’m so grateful I can still go to the gym and play golf. Maybe it’s time I should really work on the lawn and re-potting those plants? Great to talk to others in business I can help. Am I discovering a new way to make an income? [Sunday] Ok, more changes. F@*k. Where’s the wine? Surely this is a bad dream? You’ve got this. Sh*t, f@*k, sh*t. [Monday] I’m not even going to share my thoughts on this day. [Yesterday] This is tough. I need to be realistic about potentially not working this whole year and I must financially plan for that. I'm blessed that I have the ability to find more work. How will I also provide for others? I'm worried about my friends. I’m so grateful for booking some weddings in for 2021 today. It’s going to be ok. I’ve got this. I feel alone. How nice is the rain? [Last night] Completely loses sh*t. Now I know why I needed tissues. [Today] This is the new norm. I have accepted this is how it may be for some time. How nice is it to meet all my neighbours, out and about?! The Chinese symbol for crisis is Opportunity. You can only change what you can change. You’ve got this. Time to level up and see all the positive. You are a boss. Anyone else's week been this much of a rollercoaster too?!

22.01.2022 Say you'll remember me Standing in a nice dress, staring at the sunset, babe Red lips and rosy cheeks Say you’ll see me again, even if it's just in your wildest dreams...... They met at a Taylor Swift Party. That'll do me. <3

22.01.2022 Hey all you cool Cats and Kittens... Easter 2021, the MOST POPULAR FREAKING WEEKEND OF THE WHOLE ENTIRE YEAR, has just become available in my calendar. This in itself is a miracle! And I absolutely promise you, it will be snapped up quicker than you can say "Carole Baskin, killed her husband, whacked him..."... Head to my website www.edwinarobertson.com for more info on packages and inclusions.

21.01.2022 This is something I’ve been mulling over sharing because it could be seen as being controversial, but I also wholeheartedly feel like it’s so vital right now to just say this because this is a message that has been impossible to make the rest of our nation understand for so long... If you’ve currently lost your job because of an occurrence out of your control, can you survive a month, two or even six without Government help? Let’s say hypothetically you knew an occurrence lik...e this could happen once every 100 years, would you still be financially prepared to survive a year, two or even three years without income and no financial assistance? If what is currently happening went on for eight years and there was limited Government assistance to supplement the income you were not making, could you still afford to put food on the table and not have the banks take everything you own? My guess would be very few people could. But, unfortunately, this was the harsh reality for many of our farmers who have only just come out of drought. The financial challenges many of us are going through now is similar to what many rural communities have faced for many years, but without immediate, adequate and no strings attached Government financial assistance. And if any, all was simply a loan, not a tax-free handout and came with huge time delays and asset assessment. After all this, I hope we never criticise the people who feed us for supposedly being ill-prepared for natural disasters that effected them not for months, but for years. I hope we never dismiss our Primary Producers for needing help when the circumstances they face are completely out of their control, much like we currently face. May we be understanding, reasonable and compassionate and give adequate support to those who feed us when they are doing it tough. And may we all be so grateful for the food on our tables tonight that the people who have kept going despite adversity and struggles for years still get up every single day to ensure each one of us, right now, has enough to eat.

15.01.2022 After three weeks in lockdown and doing our best to stay home to #flattenthecurve we have either lost the plot or are far more creative than we thought... This is our first themed Wild Saturday Night In in which we spent with some of Australian TVs finest. This may be the best 5.5 mins of you life or it might be time you will regrettably never get back. We assure you it’s the later.... Who knew staying at home could actually be a lot of fun if you just put a bit of effort in?! Give us a rating below! PS if this is too long, watch my stories for highlights!

13.01.2022 There are many wonderful, selfless individuals in this world make a huge difference. I feel extremely honoured that I would even be considered to be interviewed by 60 Minutes Australia about my Wander of the West adventure this year. If you’d like to tune it, it will air tomorrow evening at 8.30pm.

11.01.2022 There’s a dirty little secret in the Wedding Photography Industry and I feel it’s time to finally come clean and expose the truth... I want to make it known about the exploitation of Bridal Party members who will go above and beyond for the shot. They surely are the real MVPs!! Tag a mate who you nominate to take one for the team! ... Taking booking for weddings in 2021 now.

10.01.2022 What you chookin' at? Taking bookings now for late 2020 and all through 2021: http://edwinarobertson.com/

09.01.2022 You can have the prettiest dress, the most handsome husband and the a-team of hair and makeup, but no amount of money can buy or planning precede the incredible beauty that mother nature is capable of.

09.01.2022 **MASSIVE PSA** I think I’ve officially beat Johnny Farnham in the making a comeback stakes... I have officially opened my calendar to shoot weddings in 2021. Mic Drop.... When in business you’ve got to be adaptable to survive. I run a business that is basically shut down at present. Retirement has come much earlier than expected! So I am hustling. And I will hustle until I can no more. I am offering weekends to couples who are getting married next year and/or need to postpone their date. The silver lining to me coming out of retirement is that I have LOADS of popular dates up for grabs. My calendar is FREEEEE! I’ve also readjusted my packages and introduced new options making my services more affordable during these uncertain times. Packages start at $3700. This is $1200 less than my usual base rate. Know a babe planning to marry? Make sure you let her know. 08.01.2022 Our household has decided that whilst we’re in the thick of being in iso, we’re going to make every Saturday (until we go back to normality) a night of fun with a themed dinner. This Saturday, the theme is The Logies. My abode buddies don’t know this yet, but I’m going out hard... I’m going to be extra AF. I’ll even shave my legs and brush my hair for the occasion... I have the perfect OTT gown which I have not had the chance or occasion to wear in four years (pending... I can still fit into it ). Image three is exactly how I anticipate I will be entering from my bedroom upstairs to the dining room, I mean event space! How are you managing to maintain your sanity at present?

06.01.2022 New website AND new blog! It's been a while between posts and I invite you to head over and swoon away. PS. There's also a little update on the 'Eddy' page that is the first public announcement of some exciting news... http://edwinarobertson.com/liam-and-jude-style-horses-and-/

04.01.2022 When Vera Wang meets the Australian Outback. Dreams can come true.

04.01.2022 Sometimes, my Bride's are concerned that there is a chance of a light breeze. I tell them it will be nothing to worry about and then send them this... For more updates on this crazy outback Autralian Wedding you can head to my instagram www.instagram.com/edwinarobertson

03.01.2022 Faking dust storms has become a bit of the Edwina Robertson Trademark. Yesterday, in a once in a lifetime opportunity, at the wedding of another Wedding Photographer, I got the real thing! I turned into one of those crazy people that you see knock people over trying to get to the heavily reduced Jimmy Choo shoes at a Boxing Day Sale. This was all I could've ever asked for and more! I bet this is the first Vera Wang gown to be put through the harsh outback Australia elements. Pics to come... Sophie O'Brien Photography

02.01.2022 All the wind, all the smiles, all the love. A sneak peek of this wild west wedding.
