21.01.2022 Whats wrong with me? Words I hear often whilst on a fertility journey trying to conceive. We have tried naturally, been through several rounds of IVF, my eggs are A grade and everything we are told islooks positive on paper, yet we are still getting a big fat negative. ... Why!!!! You have probably wondered this yourself, even cried while thinking this into the arms of your partner, when will it ever happen? From what I have seen over my years as a practitioner is that it's not always about what looks good on paper, everything can line up however if you have emotions, fears, concerns hiding beneath the surface they will show up every time and cause your body to feed into survival mode. When you are in flight/fight this causes the body to drop a heap of stress hormones into your system to give you the fuel to keep going, in doing so this effects your reproductive system, which effects your fertility. Now you may think you are "fine" emotionally or have done some work so feeling as if "I have dealt with all my stuff" god knows how many times I have heard this only to uncover that you are still resisting on some level. The first step in moving forward is awareness, connecting to how your body actually feels, leaning into where there may be discomfort and then sitting with this uncomfortableness and breathing. Allowing yourself to feel the unease, the fear, the concerns and then giving your body permission to let this go as you breathe out. After this, writing down what you felt, remember that if you feel any emotion attached to a situation or outcome you have emotions trapped in the body. 21.01.2022 As the days roll by, I can't believe we are in September, the first month of spring and my birthday month. Approaching 40 is a big one for me, not only as it is a milestone but it is also my life number in #numerology. I know that what I have been learning, feeling, hearing and connecting with over winter is guiding me to this next stage of my life. Beyond the fear of the unknown, there is so much love, opportunity and acceptance it is having the trust to believe this, over... what your head tells you. I am thankful to Holliea @shakti_healing and Priesh @prieshdevji for introducing me to cacao where by the last few months I have anchored into what #cacao teaches you in activating the heart chakra and sinking into this place of love, forgiveness and gratitude rather than being in the ego mindset. 20.01.2022 On both of our nana's birthdays, this day 18 years ago we stood in front of our family and friends and said our vows of love for each other. After only being together for 5 months we were engaged and 18 months later got married. All these years later, still together and still very much in love. We have had our ups and downs, the good times and bad, but we stuck together and got through it because that is what you do in a marriage- you work at it.... 17.01.2022 Starting my day off by nourishing my mind and body, stillness, intention and cacao. I've recently been introduced to the power of cacao, yes I'm a little behind, first with my friend Holliea @shakti_healing and then in ceremony with Priesh @prieshdevji. Priesh has taught me so many beautiful learnings with cacao, most importantly intention, being of service and connection with your heart to be present. 17.01.2022 Many women have turned up at my clinic after trying all the things to fall pregnant and with nothing left in the tank, remembered their friend giving them my details and decided to come and see me with nothing to lose by seeing a natural practitioner. In that initial appointment, women have said they learnt more with me about their body and cycles than what they had been taught and walked away feeling lighter, more relaxed and educated on moving forward on their fertility jou...rney. 15.01.2022 My intuition has been guiding me my whole life however it wasn't until my 30's that I realised there was a name for it (I'm dead serious here). Looking back I can see the times when my intuition played a part & helped me to take the right course of action & then times when I stubbornly turned a blind eye, avoided the guidance & landed where I did (which wasn't always great). As cliché as it sounds everything does happen for a reason, that one liner really sucks though when... terrible things happen in your life, you lose a loved one, miscarriage, the IVF cycle failed, health problems, a break up, money issues the list could go on but there is always a bigger plan. I know when I had an accident that left me unable to walk for 3 years unaided, it was a shit time in my life mentally & physically however had that not happened I may not be doing what I do now. You couldn’t of told me that when it happened so if this is you right now, it’s ok, you don’t always see the bigger picture it can take time to uncover that, like it did me. What I found is the more you lean into the resistance, rather than fight it, the easier the answers come. That accident lead me to deepening my spiritual practise to the mind, body connection which led to me being able to walk again, where dr's said I would have to live with this. Just goes to show the power of the mind. In the last few days of slowing down and surrendering my intuition is loud & clear I am not resisting it. How I know when I am in alignment is when things flow, when I am out of alignment I get stressed. This is how I know when I am on the right/wrong path. 13.01.2022 The women #ttc that come to see me in the clinic or join my online programs are ready to embrace change and are ready to do what is needed to bring in their baby. When you are ready and you have the tools to create space and embrace change, this is where you start to see a difference in menstruation, in your menstrual cycle, in your relationships, in your mind, in your body, your heart and your womb. If you are not willing to make a change then you cannot expect things to be... different to the outcome you have right now. The journey leading up to you falling pregnant is all in preparation for what is to come next. Many women do the same rounds of IVF over and over again or are trying naturally but changing nothing and expecting a different outcome. When the expected outcomes doesn't arrive all kinds of emotions come up from this and you either push them back down or you bring them up. Whatever way you go both are uncomfortable. Showing up is uncomfortable, working through your triggers and emotions are uncomfortable, but being comfortable keeps you stuck. To continue growing being comfortable with being uncomfortable helps you to deal with what you need to change to bring in your baby. 12.01.2022 End of Year rituals, a time to take a deep breath, reflect on the year that is now coming to an end before setting intentions for 2021. I love to set the scene, by lighting candles and my incense, playing kirtan chants to help me connect to my body, meditate to clear my mind, drink cacao to warm my heart and journal to get out of my head while asking my oracle cards for guidance and wisdom. On reflection, ... What lessons have I learnt? What have I accomplished? What am I most grateful for? Who do I need to forgive to move on? What do I want to bring in for 2021? When you push through your menstruation it only leaves you feeling more exhausted as your body wants and needs to rest during this time so that when menstruation finishes your hormones can elevate and you can feel on top of your game.... When your body doesn't receive the rest it needs for optimal functioning you spend the next month trying to catch up, always feeling like you are chasing your tail. So if you still need to work how can you rest and honour your body during this time? - Leave work on time - Prepare meals in other times of the month when you have more energy and freeze - Ask your partner to cook or get take out - Meditation - Gentle Yin or restorative Yoga - Take a nap when you get home - Avoid heavy work outs or running - Go to bed early - Drink lots of water - Eat nourishing food, including dark chocolate - Say NO to socialising - Be kind to yourself This is a time of slowing down, rest and giving your body what it needs, not rushing and giving away your energy. 04.01.2022 What an awesome week it has been. I took some much needed time off to embrace turning 40 and so far it's off to a good start I must say the last few days of being 39, not so great so many emotions, overwhelm, tears and frustrations were happening in the lead up, not due to turning 40, as I still feel like Im 18 so that wasn't an issue, but my mindset was all over the shop. Many lessons learnt last week... #expectations they are the enemy #surrender - it is what it is #trust - everything always works out in divine timing Even though it was a rough lead up due to my own expectations and pressures I put on myself to make everything, (dare I say it) "perfect" but once I let go, it all did work out and the celebrations were so much fun with friends, family and alot of dancing Sometimes I need a reminder . I get in my head at times, to the point of needing a good shake up, I am only human and it's also what makes me a good counsellor and practitioner, I can relate to people and what they go through, I totally get it! So loads of lessons took me into my 40th year of existence and my intention for this decade is to open up to the infinite abundance, love and gratitude that is around me.
