21.01.2022 A FAMILIAR face is returning to the coaching seat, with Paul Barnard announced as the Stars’ new men’s coach on Thursday night. Barnard, who has previously coached Craigieburn, has been involved with the Stars for a number of years. He was an assistant coach under his Essendon premiership teammate Dean Wallis and has also been on the club’s committee.... His son also plays at the club. Barnard replaces another former Essendon player Kyle Hardingham, who is moving back to Western Australia.

Bill Stephen, who coached the EFC in 1976 & 1977 and had a large say in encouraging players to the club that played a major role in the 1984 and 1985 Premiership Teams, including Tim Watson, Roger Merrett, Merv Neagle, Glen Hawker and Shane Heard. Our condolences are expressed to their families.
