25.01.2022 EFM Unleys WINDUP WINTER CHALLENGE is rocking the club. But 1 member is leading the assault. GARY MAYWALD took only 1 week to complete the Triathlon (VC 100000ft, BIKE 100km and 1 REP BODY WEIGHT on Deadlift). This is a phenomenal effort considering the offical cut off date to finish your challenge criteria is 30 September! Goes to show that every Unley EFMer should be able to knock down at least 1 challenge target. Well done Gary.

19.01.2022 EFM Unley Royalty (20 year & 15 year milestone recipients) celebrated in fine style on Friday night as Celebrity Chef Callum Hann (Masterchef Allstars Winner/Sprout Co Director) and Themis Chryssidis (Sprout Co Director/Dietitian) cooked up a Storm in Croydon. Magic night, with some amazing EFM members.

18.01.2022 Coastal Trek 2019 Unley EFM'ers Present & Past hit the trail! It was a day of tutu's and trails as Joy, Kae, Mon & Vicki gave the Coastal Trek a little bit of EFM Spark. Well Done ladies! Proud of you!

17.01.2022 What do you do when kids sport is cancelled? You do the EFM Unley CAN'T KEEP THE KIDS DOWN, 4 week Home Fitness Challenge. It kicked off this week and the Kid's are even getting the parents & pooches involved! LOVE IT Haskards & Seppelts!

17.01.2022 We have always said EFM enables you to RECAPTURE your YOUTH. This was 100% true last night when Johnny Nelson surprised David Brooks with a BLAST from the PAST 'Good Guys' moment! A brochure around 15 years old!

16.01.2022 CONGRATS Jane Hocking and Peter Allcroft. Both hit The Mt Crawford trail run Sunday. Jane ran 24kms and WON HER AGE GROUP. Peter ran 34 and got 2nd in his age group (if only he didnt behave like a tourist and stop to take some photos on route, he would of won). Jane with Nic Crawford.

16.01.2022 It was another Massive year in the EFM Triathlon/Duathlon and EFM Unley continued to GET UP and GET INVOLVED! To everyone who participated, THANKS for giving your all, for having a blast while you did it and for being rewarded for your hard yakka! It was super efforts all round by the 15 Unley EFM'ers who repesented the club and especially so for those who made it to the podium! Check out the happy snaps and some great action shots!

15.01.2022 EFM Unley has been up-skilling like crazy over the last month. What a privilege to train at the New South Wales NRL Centre of Excellence at Homebush. Under the watchful eye of 5 x National Track Cyclist, 2015 Australian Individual Pursuit record holder and past Holden Womens racing team member, Joanne Tralaggan, EFM Unley put the watt bikes to the test. We spent the day working out with NRL strength and conditioning coaches plus fitness professionals from around the country! The Good news, EFM unley is already maximising the Watt Bike technology in club. The Great news is we picked up some extra little tips to boost their brilliance. Thanks Brendan from NovoFit.

15.01.2022 Welcome newly crowned WWC TRIAHLETES..........PAT VELAITIS and GRANT COX. In 3.5 weeks they they knocked over 10,000ft on the VC, 100kms on the watt bike and 42.2km on a Tready or Rower. Its massively inspiring for every other Unley EFMer and I am so proud of you both.

14.01.2022 Nick O'Connell & Anna Ross 'SIZZLE this SUMMER' as the first Male & Female to complete the 12 visits before 24 Dec! What an effort! ps. Great shot of May & Nicks wedding day earlier this year!

13.01.2022 From one Elite training venue to another. EFM Unley was also privileged to visit the headquarters for the Gold Coast Suns this month. Not only is it a fabulous facility (home of the 2018 Com Games), it is also home to Gold Coast Suns team member Sam Day, the son of 6amer and 25 year EFM Unley member Chris Day. It was a special moment as the Suns played their last game of the season.

13.01.2022 Tough day in the Office for 4 Unley EFM'ers. Congratulations to Peter Allcroft and Nadia Velaitis, Unley EFM'ers who conquered the 5 Peaks 58km Ultra Marathon today. Let me put this in perspective, that is 58 KILOMETERS with over 2000m of climbing (and about the same descending). SO AMAZING and INSPIRING. Congratulations Gary Maywald, who conquered the 2 Peak 23km Challenge today. Fabulous running and a great strong finish.... Congratulations to Jane Hocking, who not only conquered the 12km 1 Peak Challenge today, SHE WON HER AGE GROUP......... I know, we will be hearing about this for months, but as far as I am concerned she has earned bragging rights. FINALLY special thanks and gratitude goes out to Pat Velaitis, Lyn Maywald, Barry Hocking and Mama Max Clark. You need a CHEER SQUAD and these guys are the best in the business. None of this could happen without you supporting your loved ones! WELL DONE GUYS, I am so proud of each and everyone of you.

12.01.2022 Welcome to the WINDUP WINTER IRONMAN Pavillion...... A massive CONGRATULATIONS to Peter Allcroft & Joy Gailer, the first Male & Female to achieve this honour. It takes superior fitness to be able to conquer all 6 tasks in this Challenge. I am hoping Peter and Joy won't be the last Ironman. (Pete with wife Merridy & Joy with Anna)

11.01.2022 GET INSPIRED: Current Stats from the WWC! 121 Unley EFM'ers have taken up the WWC Challenge. 18 EFM'ers have already achieved ATHLETE STATUS by completing 1 of the 6 challenges. ... CATHY MILNE: Has achieved DUATHLETE STATUS having conquered 2 challenges. 3 Ladies of EFM Unley have worked tirelessly and have achieved TRIATHLETE STATUS, completing all 3 of the Cardio Challenges in 3 weeks. Congrats TAM LEVY, NADIA VELAITIS & JILL SHIELD. I will again point out that Tam achieved this milestone in only 1.2 weeks!!! GARY MAYWALD has gone off like a Fire Cracker and is the only Unley EFM'er to have completed 5 CHALLENGES. He will achieve Ironman status after he completes his final challenge. Keep it up guys, the energy in the club is amazing and the effort people are putting in is fabulous! xKirri

We ran through lush and beautiful Forest and rode underneath the forest canopy, in perfect conditions...... Congratulations to every Unley EFM'er competing, but especially the 5 who found the podium, earning EFM Unley the title of MOST SUCCESSFUL TEAM for the day! 07.01.2022 And the success stories of the WINDUP WINTER CHALLENGE keep coming; Congrats #Brenton Schultz who knocked over the 100km Bike Monday and #Lynne Murphy who HUNG AROUND for 2mins in the Cage! Both have hit ATHLETE STATUS in the challenge.

06.01.2022 What did you do yesterday? Unley EFM'ers Cam Johnston & Andy Hardy represented the club in grand style as they conquered the 6hr Melrose MTB Challenge. The most technical course either guy had ever ridden before, packed with single track switch back climbs, fast single track descents, pebbles, sand, logs, holes, water crossings. You name it, this course had it! Super proud of you boys.
