23.01.2022 Good afternoon all, whilst registrations are open for umpiring in 2021, something pretty important kicked off this morning for many of our young umpires who have endured the most challenging school year we have ever known. The VCE English exam is the first of their final school year and if I know these young people, they will present themselves well and do all they can to perform at their best throughout their exams. To each of you, good luck in the exams, but do not be consumed by your results. Instead, take great heart and pride in the courage, resilience, commitment and dedication to complete this year. There is no doubt you all have bright futures ahead of you and no matter what, be proud of the person you are.

23.01.2022 Well, as we close out the most bizarre and challenging year most of us have endured, one sub-set of our group experienced it through their final demanding year of 13 years of schooling. To our VCE umpires class of 2020, congratulations on getting through the year with, hopefully, your sanity and smiles. I have heard of some really positive results and some looking forward to uni and other education, others looking to start careers.... Do not judge yourself on, and do not let others judge you on, a number, particularly this year. Whatever it was, that number will not define you. Follow your dreams and never place a ceiling on what you can achieve. Well done, you are an exceptional group and I know good things will come your way with more commitment, dedication and good old fashioned hard work... but I think you all know that! Feel free to share stories of your experiences and every one else join me in congratulating our super star class of 2020!

12.01.2022 Only a week or so ago we would have been celebrating our Junior Grand Finals Appointments Night, presentation of our awards and preparing for a big Sunday of Grand Finals. 2020 will be an outlier, without any of these events. So in the spirit of last year, here is the 2019 U17 Premier Grand Final Panel making their way onto Scoresby Rec. Reserve to offiate last years Premier Grand Final. Keep safe all and be kind to each other.
