Most are 1st season layers, 11 - 15 months old, a few are 2nd season layers.... See website for breeds. CASH ONLY Poultry transport crates in very good condition $75 each Roosters $40 each Hens FROM $60 each (Please bring boxes/pet crates for transporting) Professionally made, custom designed, high quality steel pens/cages will be available once they have been emptied, 50% deposit required to 'hold' for later collection. Other items will become available once their use is no longer required. Plenty of young pure breed chicks are available and still hatching lots each week. All are sexed and vaccinated.... 06.01.2022 A HUGE thank you to all my customers yesterday for your patience and good humour whilst waiting to purchase your chickens. Thank goodness for such lovely weather. I still have some breeders left for those of you who couldn't make it yesterday. And this morning I have collected the last of my breeders from the other farm and they too are for sale. Once again NO pre-orders, just pop in during business hours to see if I have anything that suits. ... Thursday - Sunday, 10am - 5pm The incubators are still running and loaded so I will have another 4 weeks, at least, of hatching - I am still collecting fertile eggs from the chickens I have left so if you have a broody hen or a heat lamp I can still supply chicks for a while yet. The current orders I have for chicks should be filled within the next couple of weeks. Call early Thursday afternoon for a list of chick breeds that are available for the current week. There are still some older chicks left, up to 6 weeks. Various breeds and not a lot at any particular age. Those from 5 weeks old no longer require heat but need to be kept indoors until they are 8 weeks old. Lots of equipment and cages for sale - please CALL me if you are interested. Note that some are still in use so won't be available for a few weeks but I am happy to take a 50% deposit to hold it for you. My apologies to those who called yesterday, I simply did not have time to take calls but I will endeavour to answer all messages today. And lastly my heartfelt thanks to my best friend Debbie. without your help yesterday could have been a disaster! And thank you to Jacinta for your help too before having to rush off to your real work

05.01.2022 FAREWELL EGGSELLENT CHICKENS As many of you are aware Eggsellent Chickens is closing business due to the impending sale of my farm. I will be open for sale of pullets this Saturday and Sunday, 20th and 21st January, from 10am - 5pm. Closed on Thursday and Friday this week.... I doubt I will have any chickens left after this weekend. ALL are $30 each. Currently I have: Australorps Langshans Speckled Sussex Barnevelders Leghorn Bantams Plymouth Rock - BOYS only Various quantities at various ages between 7 and 12 weeks. NB. I will NOT be taking orders for any chickens via Facebook, please call after 9am on Saturday if you would like to reserve any. On the weekend of 27th and 28th January I will be open to sell any remaining equipment. This will include: Feeders and drinkers - NEW Feeders and drinkers - used Liquid nitrogen dewar (vaccine storage) Nest boxes Collapsible steel (dog) crates Cubby style hen houses on trailer bases Brooders Shelving Trolleys Pallet racking Incubators (these are commercial size) And lots of other bits and bobs It isn't over until the fat lady sings and she has yet to decide her song.
