20.01.2022 Two yokes for two different builds. One by @paragonmachine on the left, and one custom designed by myself and 3D printed from stainless by @ram3dprinting on the right. The 3D printed one features a pre-mitered end for easy joining to the BB and a nice plug feature to fit into a standard Columbus fat bike chain stay. Also added an internal rib to help keep the lateral stiffness. 20.01.2022 My original 29er (the third frame I ever built) is ready for another rebirth and repurposing. It could do XC, bikepacking & handles well with flat bars as well as drop bars. It did see a brief period set up geared (with a bar end shifter), but that didn’t last long. . Now it has been retired from heavy use and will see out its days as a cruisy klunker. 19.01.2022 Today’s progress on Pierre’s frame. Got the front triangle mitered up. . Next I’ll drill holes for bottle bosses and cable guides. This one is also getting a port on the back of the seat tube for the dropper post cable routing. . First time building with a curved seat tube which makes the jig setup a little more complicated and the DT/BB/ST miter was interesting too.... . This is a full on touring machine designed and equipped to meet Peter’s brief. Large, long frame with plenty of space for a full frame bag. Bottle bosses under and on the sides of the downtube a la @curvecycling #gmxplus Rohloff internally geared hub with Gates Carbon Drive belt drive. Seatstay split thanks to Paragon Machineworks excellent rocker dropouts and ...belt splitter attachment. SQLab bars for an ergonomic cockpit, plus all the bar ends and tusks for extra hand positions. . 10.01.2022 My experimental hardtail got a little makeover with the help of some @au.spray.bike cans a few weeks back as a lockdown project. All with the hope that I’d be able to take it out for some fun rides as restrictions eased. Now we’re a couple of weeks into stage 4 lockdown and all I can do is ride around the block. 09.01.2022 New build in the works for Pierre. It’s good to be back at it after a bit of a hiatus during the extraordinarily weird year that was 2020. . This was the first step - braze in the sleeve for the seat tube. Coiled some silver inside the tube (pic 4) and applied heat from the outside.
