12.01.2022 Well done to Grace, Paul, Antje and Layla who represented dragons at State Championships over the past 5 days. They all swam brilliantly and came away with some good pbs and lots of big smiles. Well done to Layla who has just finished 6th in the 12yo girls 100m fly - a tough event to finish a meet on. Well done dragons! Thanks to the coaching staff, parents and swimmers from Sale Swimming Club who generously provided support and friendship to our swimmers and parents during the meet.

07.01.2022 22/02/20 - 2021 Vic Country’s Update Hi all, The team up in Mildura have been very busy preparing for countries next year over the past few weeks.... We have heard you’re feedback regarding scoreboard and touchpads. We are currently in talks with the relevant people to try make this happen. Fingers crossed all goes well and we can make it happen!! No doubt it will be very warm up here next year so we will be organising a mist tent, also a ‘Cool Room’ with industrial A/C. We will also have A/C in the marshalling room. We will look into getting some type of portable change rooms, eg. camping pop up tents. Grandstands are currently in the process of getting booked in. One of our Mildura Swimming Club members is currently in the process of producing a logo for the competition. This will be completed in the coming weeks. The Mildura Rural City Council grant rounds have just opened, so we will now be applying for grants to help with the costs of running the competition and gaining new infrastructure. If there is any other feedback on what you’d like to see in Mildura next year, please let us know!! We would love to hear from officials on some suggestions with the officials packs and catering or any peice of info you’d like to suggest on how we can make it easier for you. If you have any questions regarding 2021 VIC Countries please let me know by either messaging this page or email - [email protected] Cheers, Josh Barila 2021 Victorian Country LC Championships Event Coordinator

04.01.2022 In light of the Federal Government's announcement earlier today recommending against the holding of non-essential mass gatherings of more than 500 people, Swimm...ing Victoria has considered the implications of this on our upcoming events, in particular; Country and Metro All Junior Competitions and Country Interdistrict scheduled for later this month. Read the full statement below.

02.01.2022 After meetings with the Baw Baw Shire, WGL Swimming Club, the Warragul YMCA and members of Gippsland Swimming, it has been decided that the planned January 9 sw...im meet will not proceed. We sincerely apologise to swimmers and families for this unfortunate outcome. It was generally agreed that there was unacceptable risk in gathering at this time. We look forward with hope to hosting the Country Championships at the end of the month. See more
