19.01.2022 I'm looking forward to a wonderful evening with a lovely group guests tonight :) If you can come, then please do! I'm sure it will be a relaxing and fun gathering :)

17.01.2022 Abu Simbel - a place of celebration in ancient times, where people still gather when the sun rises twice a year and enters the innermost sacred chamber of the gods and Ramses II. This majestic pharaoh was loved as a god and his wife Nefertari was his dearly beloved partner, for whom he built a temple next to his. Here Ahmed Mostafa and I are visiting at sunrise in February - when the weather was the most unusual seen for many years!

15.01.2022 Thank you to Stephanie Fuller for this purely Egyptian inspired fun popsong by The Bangles. A fine slice of the 80s!

Here's a song I love - 'Golden Brown' by The Stranglers. I've just discovered the 'video' (photos actually - they didn't have many videos back then!!) was made... in Egypt!!

10.01.2022 This is brilliant! So many wonderful things to explore in Egypt! And this video has just brought to life so many wonderful memories of Egypt! Enjoy

04.01.2022 New discoveries from ancient Egypt - from a different era of time than the pharaohs. Layer upon layer of history is gradually becoming revealed! https://www.thefirstnews.com//dozens-of-mummies-dating-bac

04.01.2022 There are some amazing investigations into the pyramids underway in Egypt at the moment. The pyramids have so very many secrets, and even today it is not understood how exactly they were built - or what they were for! I love exploring these things when we are on tour - and these investigations can help bring many more things to the surface for us all to understand and enjoy! http://www.scanpyramids.org/
