14.01.2022 ReevesMedia took this cool drone photo of everyone dropping wires. During the growing season, as the vines start to grow, they can start to droop a bit so we lift a set of movable horizontal wires, one on each side of the vine, to support their growth and encourage vertical growth. The wires are clipped on the posts. This way the vine is more balanced and the leaves see more sun, plus everything is a bit neater to allow us to drive the rows without damaging the vines. After the leaves drop we have to take them all down again and put them back on the post stays to keep them from getting caught up in the tractor. This stuff is a job done by hand (many hands make light work!) Usually with the tunes blaring!! #vineyardlife #manyhands #bigfamily #droppingwires
