22.01.2022 What a treat! An invigorating early morning walk in the Lost World Valley with plenty of heartwarming sights to take in along the way. #destinationscenicrim #livelikealocal

21.01.2022 There’s a lot to love about Queensland. Such glorious days we’re having of late!

20.01.2022 Family time enjoyed at the homestead recently. Thanks for sharing your photos, Briony!

20.01.2022 Ready for summer here!!

19.01.2022 Flashback Friday. Stepping back 13 years. Early days for the cottage and the kids (..my two on left with a friend & cousin). The early 1900’s cottage was purchased in 2007 from Nundah, Qld, and transported in two parts to it’s current location. Quite quickly the front room was transformed into a veranda plus a paint refresh inside and out... Voila!! #twasgreen #2ndpaint_whiteduck

17.01.2022 A pretty space to sit and reflect on bygone days, dream about the future and immerse oneself in the here and now. #eighteenmilecottage

16.01.2022 Flashback Friday. The old Bedford spent many a working year at Eighteen Mile. She came to a roaring holt for retirement when the accelerator decided to ‘lock on’ coming down one of the hillsides about a decade ago.

13.01.2022 So glad we’re able to open our doors to guests again from June 12! It’s been quiet for far too long.

13.01.2022 Farming duties are part and parcel of the activities that go on at Eighteen Mile. Thankfully rounding up the cattle runs smoothly most times.

12.01.2022 Busier days ahead!! No back to back bookings though, at least 3 days between.

11.01.2022 Ding ding! How good is Spring!!? eighteenmile.com

09.01.2022 We’re on a road to ‘somewhere’... Scenic Rim paradise!

09.01.2022 Good morning!!

09.01.2022 Some paint has been splashed about (ever so carefully ) inside the homestead of recent weeks, thanks to a handyman friend.

07.01.2022 Flashback Friday! 4 years ago yesterday, our darling daughter said ‘I do’ to her beloved at Eighteen Mile. July 2016 was a super wet one. We’d constructed a small, solid footbridge for guests to cross the Albert River to attend the wedding. Though a few days prior to the big day it was nearly washed away by flash flooding, rescued only just before it was about to set sail! However, from all the rain came the blessing of an abundance of green and freshness to delight the senses. A wonderful, special wedding it turned out to be!!!
