23.01.2022 This weekends dining destination is looking pretty perfect Get the best of both worlds and enjoy Eighteen Sixty in true al fresco style with our new lakeside dining packages. With picnic packs from $29 per a person, we will prepare everything you need to enjoy a beautiful Summers afternoon in our exclusive use area by Nagambie Lake (rug and glassware included). All you need to do is order ahead - via our website, & add on any drinks when you pickup your pack Visit our website to find out more information about each packs inclusions. Unfortunately we cannot cater to all dietary requirements within our picnic packs, however we can provide a vegetarian option. If you have any other questions, just drop us a DM!

13.01.2022 Incredible broad beans from our good friends at @somerset.heritage.produce just down the road Because they’re at the end of their season, this will be the last week they appear on the menu for 2020, in keeping with our philosophy of only using produce at its very best. Find these on our crostini with goats curd, asparagus and mint - always a crowd-pleaser! @parkerblain

07.01.2022 Baddaginnie Run's Rosé is the perfect dry, refreshing wine for days like today, complete with fragrant aromas of wild strawberry, tangerine and sweet cherries. If you haven't heard of Baddaginnie Run, they are one to remember, having a long heritage with the region, coming from the family vineyard of Winsome McCaughey and Snow Barlow in our beautiful Strathbogie Ranges valley. Not only producing wonderful wines, but striving to restore ecosystems and biodiversity so the land can be sustained for future generations. More reason to have another glass, right? Our amazing Head Chef Adele and co-owner David share a common belief that every dish that leaves the Eighteen Sixty kitchen should taste like what it is - an unadulterated plate of food that speaks of amazing ingredients which are left to shine on their own. That’s why you’ll often see the menu changing as some ingredients go in and out of season, or as certain produce takes Adele and David’s fancy in a particular week. . This approach of an ever-changing menu kee...ps things fresh both in the kitchen and in the dining room, but most importantly ensures that our customers are only ever eating dishes that we are absolutely loving at that very moment! . So next week, you’ll see some new additions to the menu such as grilled scallops, burrata with local peaches, ricotta gnocchi with Spring lamb, and the original version of ragu Bolognese which has been certified by the city of Bologna! 01.01.2022 A delicate antipasto plate that is hard to go past, 'raw and picked vegetables with aioli verde'. Thanks to our friends Somerset Heritage Produce who provide incredible vegetables that make this dish shine. Always working with the seasons, the produce is paired with a house made aioli verde and topped with pangrattato. This dish is light, fresh & goes hand in hand with the warmer months and a chilled glass of wine.
