06.01.2022 Eight Willows Retreat is seeking an enthusiastic and hands on, Casual Handyperson to oversee the daily maintenance at our busy retreat! Nestled amongst 75 acres of natural bushland in the heart of the Margaret River region this unique opportunity is available to the right person. Reporting to the General Manager, the successful applicant will oversee the day to day repairs and maintenance of facilities, accommodation and grounds.... With a focus on preventative maintenance and department procedures designed at reducing maintenance around the retreat the successful applicant must be able to work unassisted and show initiative to resolve issues. Applicants must be available to work a flexible roster across Monday to Sunday as required. Key criteria: Fit, energetic and confident with working at heights. A great attitude and willingness to learn. A focus on providing excellent customer service at all times. Experience in hospitality accommodation highly regarded but not essential. Previous handyman experience. Excellent time management skills. A current valid (manual) driver’s licence is essential. Highly motivated, reliable and professional. Ability to undertake and follow retreat procedures and checklists. More than 2 years experience in a similar role. General hands on maintenance abilities. Sound understanding of OH&S management and responsibilities. Excellent communication skills, and the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team. Flexible attitude to work, and work hours. Remuneration is based on the Hospitality Industry (General) Award 2010 Rates.
