19.01.2022 Dear Families, tomorrow is our last day of term 1 at kindergarten. We hope you have a wonderful Easter and 2 week holiday break. Here are some dates to remember and an outlook on Term 2:- - Children return to kinder for Term two on Monday 19th April. - Changes to Morning Tea/Fruit time: In Term 2 we will be having a shared fruit time for morning tea every day. Please send a piece of fruit or vegetable everyday your child attends kinder. Fruit and vegetables will be placed i...n a basket in the morning and staff will prepare a platter, served with tongs at morning tea time. This will encourage children to try new fruits/vegetables and encourage them to eat a healthy morning tea together. - Eildon Primary School Drive in movie night Saturday 24th April. Movie Details are in the school newsletter. - SING AND GROW - Beginning in term 2, on Monday mornings we will have an 8 week Sing and Grow program running at the kindergarten, this is facilitated by Beth Williams as part of our school readiness plan, enhancing the children’s literacy skills through singing. - BUSH KINDER - We will also begin Bush kinder for a few hours each week in Term 2 and 3 on either Tues/Wed. Please ensure your child has a change of clothes in their bag next term just in case we come back from bush kinder a little bit wet/muddy. We walk to the bush area behind the fire station to explore the creek and surrounding bush. We have gum boots at kinder for the children to wear. More details will be provided in Term 2. Warm regards, Megan and Kass

12.01.2022 The children have had a fantastic week at kindergarten learning through play. A lot of the activities they chose to engage in were focused on caring for the things in their environment, such as gardening, being gentle with animals and insects, looking after books at kindergarten, role playing fixing things with tools and role playing bathing/caring for babies. We are also beginning to learn more about healthy eating, everyday and sometimes foods.
