12.01.2022 THE VAGUS NERVE A seemingly never-ending branching nerve that connects most of our major organs to our brain . It’s the longest cranial nerve in our body, ...one for the right side and one for the left. And is largely responsible for the #mindbody connection for its role as a mediator between thinking and feeling, you know our gut feeling. The vagus nerve is the queen of the parasympathetic nervous system. The rest and digest or the #chillout nerve. So the more we do things to activate the #vagus nerve (like deep #breathing), the most we combat the effects of its opposer, the sympathetic nervous system - the fight or flight, rushing around, have to do something, #stress releasing one. A few other functions of the vagus nerve, just to name a few: slows your heart rate and respiration. lowers blood pressure. helps with calmness and relaxation. controls involuntary muscles in the digestive system, therefore, aiding digestion. taste sensation. movement function for the muscles in the neck responsible for swallowing and speech. gut-brain communication. reduces inflammation. 09.01.2022 I believe in not only giving but also receiving regular balances, to keep on track and deal with issues as they arise. As kinesiology works with energy, it can be done face to face or online. Hulda from Creative Kinesiology - Holistic Healing & Wellness describes beautifully how online sessions work. Thank you for sharing your gifts and insights Hulda.

07.01.2022 We are currently in uncharted territory. Stress and anxiety levels are on the rise, for both adults and children. The unknown and requests of self-isolation are pulling us away from our centre. Here is a 'Quick Survival Guide to keeping a healthy mindset in uncertain times', to help us stay centred and grounded. Be kind to yourself and others, reach out if you need support. You are not alone

04.01.2022 GRATITUDE What is Gratitude? Gratitude is acknowledgement and acceptance of where you are, even if it is not quite where you want to be. Gratitude helps you ground in the here and now.... Gratitude expands your awareness, opening your eyes to see the world in a more positive light. Gratitude has a healing power and shifts focus away from judgment. Ways of practicing gratitude daily: - Say it a loud in front of a mirror, to yourself, or to family and friends. - Feel it, by being conscious of the positives around you. - Keep a gratitude journal. When gratitude is difficult, stop, breath and reconnect with yourself. The most important thing is to start today!

02.01.2022 Not dealing with emotions or suppressing them, can lead to long-term health problems. There are many gentle techniques used in Kinesiology to support the releasing of emotions. You don't have to do it alone, book in for a session today.
