17.01.2022 #Jobseekers mutual obligation requirements for #Centrelink payments will be lifted from 23 December to 3 January, inclusive. There should be no automatic suspensions for compliance failures over this period. If suspended call your employment service. If your employment service is closed over the whole Christmas/new year period, you can contact Centrelink - except on public holidays. 16.01.2022 The newly arrived residents waiting period (NARWP) for #Centrelink income support payments is back in place from 1 April and many people will lose payments - including JobSeeker Payment, Youth Allowance, Parenting Payment and Special Benefit. Special Benefit may be payable during the NARWP if the person is in hardship and does not have adequate means of support. Anyone who has been advised their payment will stop from 1 April due to the NARWP should apply for Special Benefit... NOW if they do not have adequate means of support. People who receive Special Benefit and have been advised that their payment will stop from 1 April should REAPPLY for Special Benefit. 16.01.2022 The Mission Australia Youth Survey 2021 is now open. Young people aged 15-19 are encouraged to have their say. Last year, 25,800 young people participated in the 19th annual Youth Survey and for the first time, equity and discrimination was the top national issue for young people.
