Unfortunately that means that those players won't be able to play this coming weekend unless their fees are paid by Thursday. Thanks and we will see you this week at training.

25.01.2022 Massive effort by the under 12s again today against one of the top teams. Improved each and every week under Corey’s coaching. Well done!

24.01.2022 Conditions were perfect again for a great day of rugby as the juniors headed down to Woodville for the morning. Under 10s really showing their improvement getting their first win for the season. Another close game for the under 12s going down by 10 points. under 12s continue to improve and had their first contested scrum of the year. Best players. Wyatt Alex and Storm Best tackler Yvonne... Try scorer's. Wyatt and Blake Under 14s typically got off to a flying start again with two early tries but Woodville returned the favour with a couple of their own. The break saw Elizabeth up 14-12. Woodville used the second half to try and out muscle the Elizabeth forwards who were well and truly up to the task and stood resolute in defence while claiming plenty of ball. This gave the backs plenty of space to work with and and showed their dominance in the second half finishing up 45-12 winners. A fantastic all round team effort from whistle to whistle. 22.01.2022 Another big day of rugby with lots of trys and faced pace rugby from the 8's and 10's The under 12's gave top four Souths some concern going into the break at 17 a pieces after some big line breaks from Wyatt and Ezekeil with Yvones cover defence preventing the opposition scoring. Second half was a little different with Souths over running the never give up 12's. Final result Souths 44 Elizabeth 17. The under 14's continued their winning streak as the push for a finals berth ...defeating Souths 24-17 in a hard fought affair. The two weeks break having an impact on the team they worked hard to grind out the win. Starved of the ball the backs still made the most of what the got with Daniel Healy having a massive game to keep us on the front foot. A big shout out for our two players returning from injury, Diann and Faith, who had a big impact on the game. Best Players: Daniel Healy, Natahlia Tehuna, James Banks, Alipate Vuata, Tyson Hoyle Even bigger game next week with all games at home again as we celbrate our 60th birthday.. 22.01.2022 Congratulations to the Elizabeth Rugby Union Football Club in South Australia who celebrate their 60th anniversary this weekend. The club has also hosted the longest-running Sevens tournament in the southern hemisphere

21.01.2022 Another great day of rugby today down in the wine region. Under 7s having some fun seeing lots of ball in the crisp conditions with an early kick off. Under 10s went down 39-12 in a hard fought affair. Under 12s got a well deserved big win against barossa today getting up 53-34. Good strong running today from the whole team led to lots of tries being scored. Great team work also as we were able to draw and pass on a few occasions that allowed us to score. There were no best ...players this week as we couldnt pick any because of the whole teams effort. Great work all round The under 14s put on another cracking display of rugby today in a very close encounter that could have gone either way but the kids managed to expand on their two point half time lead to finish up 26-17 winners with a try right on full time to seal the deal. Some great team defence kept a tenacious Barossa at arms length all game. Massive effort from every single player right to the end. 21.01.2022 Perfect day for rugby today for the trek our to Adelaide University. Tries galore for the under 8s as always and the under 10s putting on a red hot show. Big thanks to Old Collegians for sending a few of their extra players over to top up numbers in the under 12s getting up over Uni 31-5. Some good hard rugby today against uni. with some good tackling and hard running from the team today we showed the rest of the competition that we can be a force in the competition. 16.01.2022 Conditions were perfect for rugby and I’m sure the sleep in with the later games didn’t go amiss either The 12s had another good game today in hard game of rugby going down 21-38. After a slow start the second half was good to watch with the rugby played by the kids showing where we are and where we can go as a team. Best players were. Wyatt, alex, storm... The under 14s made it two in a row after downing a determined Uni outfit 45-38. The boys and girls flew out of the blocks this afternoon pouring on four unanswered tries in the first 10 minutes with the forwards providing a solid platform for our backs with some slick hands to slice through the defence. Uni quickly bounced back and came back at us but every time they did the kids dug deep to ensure they maintained the lead all game. Best Players: James Banks, Alipate Vuata, Kye Rutland, Daniel Healy and Serai Vuata

16.01.2022 Historic day at the club today with a full card of rugby for the first time in a while Under 8s and 10s got the day off to an early start with som exiting rugby and lots of players with their first ever hit out. The under 12s played a scratch match in a close affair with Barossa triumphing 5 tries to 4. There was lots of good rugby played the kids made really good tackles. Lots to work on still but we have a very good base level of skills for a really strong season ahead Be...st Players Yvonne Ezekiel Wyatt The under 14s match was a see sawing affair and although playing short with only 12 players hit the lead in the second half with some great tries by James Banks and Alipate Vuata. The forwards worked hard all day and showed some real structure giving the backs some good ball. Unfortunately the overlap took its tolll and. a worn out group of boys on a warm day fell short in the last 15 minutes going down 38-19 with the score line no reflection of the game and the effort the boys put in. 13.01.2022 Another perfect day for rugby again today.......who said this was a winter sport. The under 7s kicked off proceedings with another game full of free flowing rugby and lots of tries. The 10s followed suit against a tough opposition with a solid display of rugby. The Under 12s went into today undermanned but it didnt stop them from having a crack at the bigger opponent unfortunately going down 67-10. Best players, yvonne, alex, liam. Best tacklers was yvonne, storm... Try scorers were yvonne and blake. The under 14s put in another solid performance again today coming out 63-25 winners against a tough opposition. Alipate Vuata first on the points board slicing through the defence early in the game, his first of five, after some solid go forward by Kye and Dylan. Harrison and James Collyer proving to be a thorn in the oppositions side all game with good defence from the back of the scrum. Forwards worked hard all game and provided plenty of ball for the backs to work their magic. Yet another great performance from the 14s as they continue to improve each and every week. 13.01.2022 With our first home game coming up this weekend, just a friendly reminder of some general house keeping rules for the club: - no boots are to be worn in the club at any time - children must be supervised in the club room by a parent or guardian at all times... - please place all rubbish, cans and bottles in the bins provided - treat everyone with respect on and off the field - during matches you must be behind the pitch fencing unless you are a player for that game or a team/match official - please no smoking under the veranda until after the last game of the day and try to be considerate of others around you - no alcohol is to be brought onto or removed from the premises - there is a zero drug tolerance If there are any queries, please see your friendly committee members, coaching staff or team managers.

11.01.2022 Another Saturday of rugby and for the first time in a while not so favourable conditions, well for spectating at least. Under 12s were helped out with some numbers from Old Collegians RUFC which made for two full teams and some exciting rugby with college coming out on top 54-10. By the time the 14s hit the deck the weather began to turn but that didn’t stop both teams putting on a great show. A tight start to the game and at half time College had a narrow lead of 7-5 with th...e wet weather not stifling the backs from using the ball with some good hands. Serai having a cracking game on the flank and was everywhere disrupting the opposition attacking play and creating havoc of her own in attack. Harrison and Kye were solid defence with Harrison laying on one of the biggest hits of the season and our usual three of Alipate, Daniel and James doing what they do best. The fast pace of the game took its toll and we lost some momentum in the second half with college capitalising finishing of 31-5 victors. Tough to pick best players this week with everyone digging deep and running themselves ragged. But without naming everyone our best Players were: Alipate, Serai, Natahlia, Daniel, James Last game of the season for our juniors next week as we all head down to Brighton for a big finish for season 2018.

10.01.2022 **BIG RUGBY BAKE SALE** As most are aware we have a couple of the boys who have been selected in the state under 14 squad to tour Melbourne soon. To get behind the boys this weekend we will be running a big rugby bake sale with parents donating some delicious home made baked goods. All proceeds will go towards funding James and Jaidens trip to Melbourne. Let’s get behind the boys and at the same time enjoy some delicious home made cakes and biscuits.

08.01.2022 Hey guys, **Please Read** this is just a reminder about some Club etiquette. ... 1. Reminder to parents, ALL children need to be supervised inside the Club rooms, at all times. Bar and canteen staff should not be expected to babysit. 2. If you or your children have eaten please put your rubbish in the bin, remember all of us at the Club are volunteers and don't want to spend their days picking up after other people. 3. Please, please do not just walk into the canteen when people are cooking, it is very dangerous, as we are handling hot food/water/oil, and do not want anyone getting hurt, so unless you are volunteering in the Canteen please do not come in. Under 14s: 11:30 Please check with coaches for what time they want you there. For the under 14’s they will need to be there no later than 10:00am Women and senior games will follow shortly after the conclusion of junior games. Canteen will be open all day and if your in for the long haul food will be available after the senior games.

06.01.2022 Conditions were perfect at home today for rugby and as usual we kicked off with a try fest from the under 7s. A great game in the under 12s but unfortunately going down 24 to 31 against woodville. We were on top the whole game and were unlucky not to come away with the win. Very very proud of all the kids today with everyone getting in and having a good go against a bigger opponent. From where we started to now there has been massive improvements in our rucking, tackling and... support play. Best taklers today were Yvonne and Wyatt Point scorer's were Ezekeil x2, Liam and Blake. With Alex kicking 2 goals. Best players Alex, Kayle, Blake The under 14s came out 76-22 winners against an undermanned Woodville team. A great all round team effort from the kids today working through their structures really well, rucks were looking solid and tackling equally impressive. 04.01.2022 Big finish to the season as as the 12s and 14s took on in form Brighton in both grades. The 12s started off well enough but the experienced brighton team put on a strong finish to run out 51-0 winners. The under 14s went down 39-19 but the score no reflection of the game played. Within a bees whisker at half time going in a try down the worked hard in attack and were unlucky several times not to bust clear throughthe brighton defence win strong runs from Daniel, Alipate and Dylan. John How saving his best performance of the year for the last game saw plenty of ball and linked up with the backs all game. 04.01.2022 Over the weekend, A Sqn supported the Elizabeth Rugby Club as part of their 60th anniversary celebrations with a vehicle display. With 17 members of the Regimen...t making up a total of 30 defence members who play for the local club, its a fantastic way to strengthen community ties and showcase Armoured Corp capabilities. Congratulations to the Divison 1 and 2 teams, who both had convincing wins over the Barrossa Valley Rams. See more
