22.01.2022 Maxs BioBin KIDS FIGHT CLIMATE CHANGE WITH STEM, ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE and SOLAR in SCHOOLS connecting with Swedish school girl Climate activist Greta Thunberg and implementing Dr Yunus Vision of Zero Carbon Emissions in schools. The TAKE AWAY MESSAGE of ITEX 2019 World Young Inventors Competitions: The Silver Medal team compared their IoT project with Maxs Gold Medal BioBin project concluded: We were MAKING a spade rather than BUYING a spade to dig a hole! We spent 12 months to make a webpage to put inside a wifi chip to perform SENSING and CONTROL DATA LOGGING our IoT Aquaponic project Max used the ready built runlinc webpage inside the wifi chip to program his Internet of Things BIOBIN Project which took only one week to complete. The Malaysian students want to introduce runlinc to all 11 ASEAN countries!
20.01.2022 Explore light, from nanoscale biophotonics with Dr Roman Kostecki, research fellow at the ARC Centre of Excellence for Nanoscale BioPhotonics; to exploring the Universe with Dr Jerry Madakbas, a photonics physicist who builds night vision sensors for NASA. The hidden science of light will also be revealed by Miroslav Kostecki, Technical Manager at the STEMSEL Foundation, in live and interactive demonstrations. The highlight will be invting the audience to control large colour light ribbons on stage via their mobile phones using WiFi, and using their phone cameras to see IR light. The event will end with the engaging activity of Many Hands Make Light Work to recognise the significance of advancing science in achieving zero net carbon to protect the planet.

07.01.2022 Michael Zhang, 12 of Felixstow is a mentor and helper at STEMSEL Club. He has made three projects and aims to implement three zeros of; net carbon, unemployment and poverty. Michael has presented his projects to Nobel Peace Prize Winner Dr Yunus. Michael Zhang was presented as a Semi Finalist in the University Senior College Create Change Award by The Honourable Rachel Sanderson MP, Minister for Child Protection, representing the Premier of South Australia at the 2018 Channel 9 Young Achiever Awards Presentation ceremony held at Hilton Adelaide on Friday 11th May. Over 500 guests were in attendance at the Gala Event.
