16.01.2022 Psoriatic arthritis Is an autoimmune disease. People who have PsA experience swelling, pain, warmth, redness and stiffness as well as fatigue. Psoriatic arthritis can appear in any joint or where ligaments and tendons connect to the bones...enthesis. It can also cause neck, back pain and stiffness. For me it feels like I have a balloon inside of me...it's attached to my fingers and toes, touches all my joints...when I'm tired, cold and in pain the ballon shrinks pulling at... my all my joints especially my feet, hands and hips. If it's too hot the ballon swells and causes the same problem....my goal is to keep the balloon a nice even size. After 6 months of DMARDs, the ballon is quite small. I have now been given approval to commence Humira a biological medication in the hope that this will stop my body attacking itself. I'm very lucky to have a wonderful wife, Nicole, who has supported me with love, laughter and the application of fisiocrem every night so I can sleep!
