25.01.2022 Hey mates. Back to business after a break from Instagram (it was glorious - 10/10 would recommend). I'd have kept going on this social media hiatus, but my photographer @catblackphoto sent me the images from my latest shoot and I just had to share a preview. I've got a few patterns in the works. Doing up the instructions as we speak. Probably not the best time to be cutting down my coffee consumption. Seems I've also lost the ability to write a good caption. Perhaps my wr...iting skills are directly linked to my body's caffeine levels. Photos by Cat Black Grooming : @xs.rose Model : Paul J at @silverfoxmgmt

22.01.2022 Thought you all might appreciate some better pics of the Bardon Dress. Looking forward to seeing your versions pop up in my feed! FREE PATTERN ALERT ... Well hot damn. Summer's here and with it comes our beautiful new issue. It also means it's time for the release of another (free) sewing pattern for you all - hurrah! Meet the bright and summery Peppermint Bardon Dress. We teamed up with Perth patternmaker extraordinaire Lauren Boyle of @elbe_textiles to create this gorgeous piece! With a summer-friendly sleeveless bodice, snazzy gathered tiers and the absolute best feature in our opinion, pockets, this looks-good-on-everyone style is the injection of fun your wardrobe needs. We’re also so excited to say that our patterns are now created in partnership with Spoonflower! The world’s largest marketplace of independent designs from global artists, Spoonflower is leading the way in custom, sustainable textile printing. Their on-demand process significantly reduces materials, energy and water, with inks that meet Oeko-Tex 100 requirements and fabrics including a Certified Organic range that are ethically sourced. Pop over to @spoonflower for inspiration for your next me-made project. We used the Lightweight Cotton Twill from Spoonflower, printed with a design by Australian illustrator @louise.margaret. Head to the link in our bio and download this exclusive Peppermint pattern to sew your own. And remember to tag your photo with #peppermintbardondress we can’t wait to see your creations! 16.01.2022 Made my Cornell Shirt pattern into a dress. Accidental theme being 'grandparents from Willa Wonka', but make it fashion. All I did was crop the shirt at the waist, add a gathered skirt and chucked some inseam pockets in there. Too easy. P.S. After doing a button poll in my stories, I ended up using a couple of odd buttons I had lying around that weren't even listed. This way I please no one. ... Pretty standard really. See more

15.01.2022 I've added an Errata page on my website, listing any updates that patterns may have gone through and the date it happened. Never anything major, but I am a raging perfectionist and sometimes after a pattern has been released, after time little things play on me. Yesterday I updated the Sanders Button Up - I made the pockets a bit smaller, lowered the back neck by 0.5cm and raised the sleeve head by 0.7cm. If you've previously purchased this pattern and still have the link to the download, the new files will automatically be updated and you can re-download. Otherwise please shoot me an email to grab your new copy! Francis is wearing the Sanders Button Up in the antique washed linen from @wearethefabricstore

15.01.2022 Hey southern hemisphere mates. It's getting hot, yeah? May I suggest the Sage Tee (free pattern) and Trigg Shorts as a winning summer pattern combo? Or If you can't be assed sewing your own (completely understandable, the heat zaps my will to do anything but swim and eat Zooper Doopers) I am about to put up a bunch of garment samples from my latest photo shoot on my Etsy Store. Snag yourself a one-off item of clothing. ... Like these Trigg Shorts made from @wearethefabricstore linen You could look as good as Paul here. Maybe. The garments I will be posting up today are suitable for folks with a 42" chest, 34" waist and 37" hip. But have a squiz at my store as there are still a couple of items left from previous shoots in other sizes. I will post a link to the shop in my stories once I get some listings up.
