22.01.2022 Portsea House 01 We are thrilled to receive councils Notice of Decision to grant a permit for our Portsea House 01 project. Designed on a steep sloping 2000sq.m. site the home is nestled into the terrain with terraced landscaping used to accommodate a pool and tennis court. A thorough investigation of the detailed planning requirements for the site was carried out at the concept stage. These were then managed and blended with the clients brief to develop a solution that me...t all their needs. This has resulted in obtaining a quick turnaround on council approval and without any conditions requiring alterations to the design of the dwelling. This project is a special one for us. ELC was founded back in 2012 on the back of this client entrusting us with the design of their home Brighton House 01. Last year they came back to us for the design of their beach home. It is a great honour to be entrusted with projects by our clients. When they return years later with another project it instils in us and our team that our services are delivering on our mantra, that the client is at the heart of what we do. Every detail, space, arrangement is conceived based on acheiving a design outcome that enhances the clients vision of how they will feel, live and grow in the final built form. 21.01.2022 Surfcoast House 02 Before we start planning the concept design of a house, we work closely with our Clients to ensure we meet their brief and make the most of their site. In this case, we wanted to optimise the breathtaking views of the Surf Coast.... Hiring a cherry picker enabled us to take the clients up to discuss all the important landmarks, such as Point Danger and Bells Beach, it's here that the concept for a 3rd level 'Viewing Room' was created. The old timber decking and oregon beams have been used for a barn style shed and chicken coupe.
